Get a can of compressed air and clean out all the vents and fans. You can also use a vacuum with a hose attachment to clean it.

I purchased HP Compaq Presario CQ42 in october 10. Now i am facing problem of overheating and system shuts off automatically. Please suggest some solution of my problem.

Observe if the processor cooling fan is spinning that cools your processor. Or your unit need cleaning where the vents of your laptop is clogged with dust and the cooling system will be affected that made your system shutdown automatically

I have laptop compaq cq42 but webcam can not use

HP Compaq has several different models for the CQ42 notebook. If you are haveing issues with the webcamera my first suggestion is to re-install the driver and software for it. I have included the web link to HP Compaq support page. You have two options, 1) Is to input your product name or product number. The product number is the best way to get the correct software and drivers for you notebook. If you dont know your product number there are instruction on the support page that will show you how to find your product number  2) Have the support site automaticly detect it for you.

Underneath the Laptop is a Users Label marked Model it should give the FULL model No. - e.g. Presario CQ42-100 - HP made something like 150 different models for the Presario CQ42 !!! so you can see, I'm going to have to guess about this...
If your Touchpad has a black(?) dot in the top left corner - tap this once to turn the Touchpad off while you are typing.
Touch it again, to turn it back on.
Other Presarios' have a switch nearby to do this...

CPU fan issues

The fan may not stay on all the time - its a feature of laptops to help save power. The fan is also variable speed. As the CPU gets hotter, the fan speeds up. When the CPU isn't being used as much and is cooler, the fan slows or even stops. It turns on to full speed when you first turn the laptop on as part of the BIOS system check.

The noise is another issue. You could have a broken "fin" or fan blade. The bearing could be going out. Something may have simply "crawled" inside the fan's output vent. In any case it may be worth your time to have a professional open up the laptop and look at the fan. I have heard a LOT of noisy laptop fans in my day, and believe me it's not the worst thing to put up with.

Noisy fan

I believe your laptop needs to be serviced. if you see dust and fluff, it might damage the fan and would need replacement
