I am having problem open my files thru microsoft excel.
I was saving my backup files to RW-CD but unfortunately,it fails to finished the whole files. after that incident,whenever i open my excel files it will appear on my screen, preparing to installed windows xp microsoft professionals,microsoft office xp professionals with front page ( PROPLUS.MSI ), it also stated there that in my documents files,was stored on the CDROM.
What shall i do? how can i open my files to microsoft excel? Can you help me with my problems?

The '~' is called a tilde, which may help with your search for help. Generally, files with the tilde are temp/backup files. Here's a link to a microsoft page describing them: http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=211632 These files are automatically created. Make sure you have permissions for the directory you are using. Also, make sure you have registered your Excel program with Microsoft.
