I can hear the person on the other end of the phone conversation but they cannot hear me! I am not sure what happened. It worked one day and not the next. It doesn't even sound like there is a speaker on...

In this case check the volume of you're Handheld, If it is low, Increase the volume and check still if it is not working you need to walk into the service center to check the speaker of you're Handheld.

Ear speaker not working

hi thanks for using fixya!

Try to remove and install back again the battery of your sony ericsson. Then turn on the power and try to call someone, if still doesn't work, you have the hardware problem in regard with the ear speaker. Try to send it to a service center to further check the error.

Speaker and Mic problems

Hello Elan, You will need to have the device dissasembled and checked for a loose connector to the mainboard. Those 2 components are linked to the mainboard via a ribbon like cable that may not be making a perfect electrical contact. It'a a cheap repair, you don't have to worry, other than that if the device is still in warranty it will be made for free.

K-Jam died overnight - one minute working, next not.

This is most probably a internal power converter failure or a processor failure. Both of them will require a repair in a service center. It could be a simpler thing than that, but once again you will need a profesional diagnostic to be made. I'm sorry but these aren't the DIY type of problems. If the device is in guarantee send it back to have it checked by them. There are chances that this would be an expensive repair, so if you still have it in guarantee don't hesitate to do the repairs at an authorised service. Also sorry for my bad english, I'm not from an english speaking country.
