Question about Nintendo DS Lite Console
ALL I GET ON SCREEN IS LOADING AND GOES NO FURTHER
I have a ndsl r4 ver 3
and had it some time,
they are alittle fussy at times,
But go to www.ndslr4.com download v1.25 English
This should solve the problem or at least ease it,
You may have to power on and off a few times, take the R4 out everytime you do this, but once it works it works well, i have over 165 games on one R4.

Hi there. You need to ensure you download the correct kernel for the R4 that you are using. R4.com for the standard R4. R4III.com for the R4III and R4Ultra.com for the R4Ultra (with the SDHC memory card). I had the same problem - all I got was loading, but when I found the correct site (after trying them all of course) it works perfectly. Note: The kernels are compressed and you will need to download WinRAR to open them to see the files. Once you have done this copy all the files to the root of the SD card (this just means - don't create a folder to put the files in) and then create a folder called 'Games' to place all your games that you download in. Good Luck.

I have been having problems with my new kingston 8 gig micro sdhc on my R4 III card. I was using an Adata 4 gig micro sdhc without any problems for over 6 months. I am using v3.07 firmware on the 4 gig and 8 gig. When I copied the stuff off of the 4 to the 8 I got garbage files listed on the games screen. I have been fighting with 2 8 gig cards with the same problem. The only way I have been able to get the r4 III to load so far is as follows:
1st remove any files that I don't have copies of.
2nd format card
3rd copy firmware to card
4th load up card on ds to make sure it loads
5th load a few (not all, only about 10 or so at a time) nds files and recheck on ds
6th rinse and repeat 5th until done
I hope this helps

My initial try was with a 4GB Micro SD card. I found some forums that said the original R4 would not work with a card over 2GB. Today I tried a 256MB card and it worked great.

Ive run into these same problems, one solution is to download the latest firmware patch from r4ds.com, i believe they are up to 1.18 right now. the other thing i have noticed is the R4 chip doesnt read the SDHC cards, they just arnt compatible. if neither of those work then pull it out and clean the contacts, maybe even take the R4 apart, it is only 1 screw, and clean the contacts there.

Hi make sure that you have put the correct software on the memory card first. Download from here www.memorybits.co.uk/r4
Choose the colour of your catridge and download the correct file.
Un-zip using Winrar (link at the bottom of the page)
copy the contents directly onto the memory card.
Put games directly onto the memory card
Once done put memory card back in the R4 and play on the DS.
Hope this helps.
