Use the MS-DOS diskcopy command by following the below steps: diskcopy a: Once you have typed the above command and pressed enter, you should be asked for the source diskette. When it has been entered and the information has been copied, it will then ask for a destination which will be the diskette you want to copy the information to. This process may be repeated several times.
Install the floppy that contains the file or folder you want copied.
Click : Send to => compressed file/desktop/or drive (D)?
Best is to send it to your hard drive somewhere ,even (C)
Remove the floppy that you used to copy from.
Seek out the file on (C) drive ( I usually use "my pictures" folder)
Then just use the drop down menu on that file to send it to floppy.
Once you confirm it exists in (C) and is complete , use the drop down menu to select : Send to - again , then send it to (A) or (B) floppy (which will need a fomatted floppy to copy onto).
I do it all the time. Even use that method to send email pictures and alike.
Assuming you wish to make a duplicate of the source disk, the above will work fine. Be sure to fully format the target diskette(s) before using diskcopy, even if they appear to be empty. Diskcopy will make an exact copy of the source onto the target WITHOUT testing the target diskette's surface for errors. If the target diskette has a bad area (or more) on its surface, diskcopy will write data to the bad area(s) and you will not have a good copy. The full format command will test the diskette surface and mark those bad areas as unusable. However, this will not fix the diskcopy problem. Diskcopy would still try to write data to those corrupted areas, it just means you should not use a diskette that has errors on the surface with diskcopy.

I have installed it (poor instructions) but what can I do wrong? The cable from the mother board only goes on one way (it has a tab in the middle) and same for the back of the drive. Here is my question. The drive comes with 2 cables: one is USB miniB to the 4pin colored cable. It shows a picture for that, although all you are doing is jumping from one spot on the drive to another...... no problem, then there is a USB to USB mini cable noplace to plug in. How does this thing get it's power? there are no more places to plug any thing into??? thanks travis
