My computer is four year old. It has a Giga Pocket for audio/video/
recording with TV tuner. The sound card is built-in with mother board.
Initially there was no sound. We are unable to hear any audio.
A PCI sound card was installed but still can not hear audio while
viewing TV. But after recording, during it's play back we can hear
normal Audio View Video. Sony support was not success ful, All
the drivers has been re-loaded, even complete computer has been
Re-formatted. Pl advise

Exactly the same problem and exact machine (Sony Vaio PCV RS-530G) I have.
I've just yesterday tried to use Giga Pocket on my 4-5 year old machine.

You need t have GigaPocket installed to use the TV Tuner. You should use the AV in sockets for audio and video. The Gigapoket software from Sony should allow you to select the Video to view the input Sony Giga Pocket 5 5 Update Utility
Or you could try VLC which should accept input from your video card.
Since they installed a generic copy of xp, there are none of the sony installed add-ons present on the computer. go here to view the available downloads for your system provided by sony, you will have to select the "EVERYTHING" tab to see the giga downloads if it does not load there.
Otherwise you will have to contact sony for a recovery disk specific to your system.
