Question about Indesit WA 115 Front Load Washer

1 Answer

No heat on Indesit IS60V tumble dryer

The timer and tumble action all works ok but the dryer has suddenly stopped producing any heat. How can I repair this? I'm guessing its the element or thermostat but have no idea how to fix. Any help appreciated!

The heater and stats are located at the rear of the m/c behind a removable panel.
you need a meter to test them, more likely to be a stat problem, but again you must test them for continuity.
Plz leave feed back for my solution.
Thanks.

Hotpoint aquarius tumble dryer, drum not going round but still

If you can hear the motor going, then the belt probably needs replacing, if no motor action, then prob is more serious.

Please rate my solution.
Thanks.

There is no heat being created by the tumble dryer

Common faults -
1 The heating elements can fail (meaning open circuit)
2 There are cut-outs (T.O.C's) that might need resetting
3 The thermostats (stats) can trip out or burn out (meaning opencircuit)
4 Moderntumble dryers also have sensors and pcb's (Printed circuitboards) thesehave programs that can fail and circuitry although most should produce an errorcode showing you were the fault is.
5 Faultyconnections and burned wires may also be the fault.

I'm a bit confused you posted under Bosch but you specify Indesit, which is a UK machine. The really bad news is you need to replace the timer. the really really bad news is you can only buy the timers from Indesit, I can't find them anywhere in the US. The really really really bad news is they want 117.99 british pounds for them! plus shipping and handling. Here is a link to the Indesit site where you can purchase one.

Dryer not working

If the drum is not moving: There is something stuck inside your furness blower( could be some pice of cloth). Open the furness and remove the piece and your dryer will be working fine afterwords. If the Drum is working fine; the coil valve, fuse or the gas ignitor could be the problem; usually repacing the coil valve will fix the problem
