If this click comes from a little box mounted on top of the compressor, you're usually looking at either a starter or a compressor motor problem. A new starter (the thing inside that box) is just about cheap enough to replace, just accepting the risk it won't work. With a sealed compressor, a motor failure probably spells the end of the road. Ice in icemaker is melting. refigerator is making buzzing sound for several seconds at a time like a faulty switch that is having a hard time making contact.

it sounds like the compressor is the problem.
1. is light on in side when you open the door. If not check breakers or fuses.
2. Can you hear the compressor running. If not do you hear any clicking sounds.
3. If you hear clicking sounds, try putting a fan on compressor and unplug refrigerator.
4. Wait one hour.
5. plug back in. If compressor starts let it run and see if it cools, if it doesnt, call service man.
6. If it goes back to clicking, call a service man.

Fridge working but not cooling.

The white component you see , is the problem . That is the overload/relay . These short due to power surges , dirty coils in the front bottom of refrig , or just by age . They short , to save the compressor , when one of these happens . The part number you need is # 8201786 . This part just prys off (maybe one wire clip ) , easily replaceable with instructions included with the part .

Admiral LTF2112ARW cooling problems

First I would make sure the compressor is running.

Unplug the Ref. for about 15-20 min, plug it back in and listen for the compressor to start. You will have to be behind the Ref to tell the difference between the compressor fan and the compressor. If the compressor clicks and doesn't run then the relay on the compressor should be replaced. If it runs then it is probably low on coolant.

Side by side not working

Make sure the compressor is running and not just a fan motor.

Unplug the ref for 30 min or so and while you are behind the ref plug it back in, listen for the compressor to start. If you hear a clicking noise and the compressor never starts then replace the relay on the compressor. If the compressor runs and still does not cool then you may have a coolant problem.

Side by side refrigerator and freezer not working, (fan not working either)

Hi,
This doesn't sound good does it?

The good news is that the compressor at the back, is probably fine, it's just waiting for the signal to turn on.
First, try adjusting the controls from minimum to maximum to see if you can get any life out of it.
If you have no power to the display, please state this.
If it does function - but not properly, please state this.
If there is no action at all, I suspect there is a fault on the main control board, or the motor run capacitor is faulty. With a faulty capacitor, you may get a 'click' when first turned on, and the compressor will buzz or get warm without actually cooling.

Hopefuly this will help, but please get back with more information.

Thank you.

Maytag side by side

Sounds like a compressor problem. Unplug it and check the condenser for cleanliness. Clean if you see any dust build-up. Condenser may be located in back behind a removable panel. be sure to reinstall the panel when you are done. If the compressor is hot allow it to cool off and plug the refrigerator back in. If you get a hum and click from the compressor call for a service tech.
