Trying to get in touch with Jerry S. I replaced my blown capacitor a few minutes ago but still the unit won't stay on. Any suggestions? Where can a get a new power supply if that becomes necessary? I replaced capacitor per instructions on this site by zexxal.

Have fixed a bunch of those as a Sylvania ASC. There is a small ceramic capacitor on the main power PCB that has ruptured. It must be replaced with a different part, a special type of capacitor, or it will just fail again. Sylvania had recommended replacing the main power PCB rather than repair because sometimes there was additional damage on the board, however replacing the capacitor fixed every one that came to us. I preferred that because some electrical voltages have to be adjusted if the circuit board is replaced with a different one.

It sounds like the driver ICs blew and is a common fault with alot of these plasma TV sets. Some manufacturers have the driver ICs mounted on the display panel, some have a differant driver board for these IC's. You will need to take the set in and have it looked over and hopfully the display drivers is part of the complete panel. Good Luck
