Check the specification of your MP3 player to determine thetype of video file format it uses. Most common video files that MP3 players use are, AVI andWMV, there may be others such as FLV, MOV and DivX. If your player cannot play a video then it is an incompatiblevideo file format, then you need to convert that video file to a format thatyour MP3 player uses. How to add videos

Don't know this unit so this is general for most players.What I know is that the problem I' ve had(and solved) is that Audio/Video files are unique in that there are many types, AVI, MP4, RM, DVIX .MPEG.FLV..... In addition resolution can vary, Then There's CODEXs . You must find out what file, files are supported by your player absolutely first.I have loaded files onto players and they don't even show up on menu folders or it's Drive. Many players have websites that you can download converters/media managers that are supported by your player.Not every file is convertable.Once you learn what you can convert to put it on your player is easy,either with media manager or drag and drop onto the unit when attached to the computer look for the new Drive letter that's your unit.This problem is frustrating but once you do the steps I've instructed it will work.Good Luck.

I want to put a movie on my sony walkman. I have it converted and everything. When I go to watch it there is no picture and my sony walkman freezes up. I have 2 gb of free space left.

I'd say the problem is with the file. What format have you converted it to? The players will only play MP4 files as videos with a screen size of 320 x 240 pixels - anything bigger won't play. Try converting the video to iPod format (will still work) using a Youtube to iPod converter, which you can download for free if you "Google" it. But I would definitely say the problem is with the file - go in and delete it from your MP3 player and re-convert, if not re-rip or download the file. (Don't re-rip or re-download until you've converted it again, though)

How do i convert the videos to avi whe i download them

# Free nexus one video converter: Zamzar

1. Go to
2. Click on the free-nexusone-video-converter-button.png to add video files from local disk ;
3. Choose the output format .AVI ;
4. Enter your email <school e-mail has less capacity than google or Yahoo accounts and may 'strip' the attachment>
5. Click convert

The file will be converted and a link will be sent to your email (usually within 1 or 2 hours). You will then click on the link and be able to download the AVI video.

# Shareware video converter: Daniusoft video converter

The reason for introducing this shareware video converter just is that Zamzar has many irksome restrictions.

1. You don't have priority file conversion, converting files with maximum size of 100 mb, up to 5 conversion at the time and you don't have any online storage.
2. You cant set the video resolution, bit rate, encode etc. for output .
3. You cant edit your video like cropping/trimming/merging video clips to customize your video.

However, all these restrictions are not exist for Daniusoft video converter. It even is already optimized for output setting for AVI format...

I have the philips gogear digital audio/video player(sa6185).how do i move video to the player using the supplied arcsoft media converter?i have followed the instructions but when i try to open files to...

The Arcsoft Media Converter only recognizes a limited set of file types. I would download a program called Riva FLV Encoder, and convert the files that the Arcsoft does not recognize to AVI format (the product documentation for Riva says that it converts files to FLV format, but it is quite capable of doing the opposite). Once the video files are converted to AVI format, the Arcsoft Media Converter will recognize them.
