Your camera memory card should be infected with virus or trojans. So the files or folders are "hidden". Follow the steps from this article about how to fix this kind of folders become shortcut problem. It should help. I hope you good luck. Note - If you have precious photos or video files insides the memory card, do no format it right away as you should remember.
Cameras do not get viruses. The effect of the virus may only be on the memory card of your camera. Try to format the card using your camera's built in feature. BEWARE though that you will lose all files in the card when you format it.
To resolve your virus problem in your computer, carefully follow these steps :
1. Download, update, and scan your computer using Malwarebytes from this link. 2. Delete all infections found by Malwarebytes then restart your computer.
This software scans all storage space on usb and then join pieces together to recover photos. So even virus affected your file table, and put virus to boot sector, the program can still be used to recover your photos.
You need to use a card reader either on your computer or an external USB card reader. Put the card in the card reader, open the recovery program, then select the drive where files are deleted, then press "Start" and wait for it to do it's magic.
Please remove your connection with PC.
Then check your batteries for malfunction, replace with new ones if necessary.
Turn on your camera, if fail , remove your infected memory card and turn On again your camera. Is it solve the problem?.
Normally the virus will just make your device 'hang' or ' data corrupt ( no access to data)'.
Sounds like your camera has switched over to storing pictures on the internal memory which is very small. With the card out of the camera, go into the menu and find "format"...follow the on-screen instructions to erase the internal memory. Then, using a separate card reader, download any pics from the memory card. Then, insert the card back into the camera and do the "format" thing again to erase and initialize the card. Everything should be back to normal.
By the way, your camera can't get a virus.

Thanks & waiting for your feedback.
a virus is present in your pc, infecting the memory card. I suggest that whenever your card leaves the camera and used in any computer or lab, always format the card in your camera not in pc cause this will gonna erase all the pictures including the virus. virus in cf cards wont destroy your camera but it will make it operates like crazy. Make it a standard operating procedure to always format card inside the camera. Photolab will be able to read even a corrupted card.
