Question about Craftsman 4 Cycle Blower/Vac

Craftsman leafblower running worse

2-year old craftsman leafblower still starts fine but doesn't have the power it once did. Rattles loudly (like metal on metal) when idling. Starting to spray oil from the case. Is it worth repairing?

The loud knock can mean that the connecting rod bearing may be going bad. The engine should be torn apart to see if this is the problem. The lobes on the camshaft should also be checked as well.

I have an old craftsman leafblower it will run but seem to strian to run at full speed n I have rebuild crab too new fule line new gas check compression it abt 90 lbs

Most likely suspects: 1) Carbon in the spark arrestor screen. 2) Carbon in the muffler. 3) Carbon in the exhaust port.

To prevent this issue in the future you should use a 50:1 ratio for you fuel mix.

Hope this is helpful,
Dolf-

10 year old Craftsman Lawn Tractor won't start

That's really strange. The low-speed fuel adjustment screw may be set way too rich, but that doesn't seem likely. With the air filter off, look at the choke plate if possible as you advance the throttle and see at what point the choke closes. Back it off till the choke opens and then put the filter back on and try to start it at that setting. Another thing that could cause too much fuel is if the adjustment of the carburetor float is off, causing the fuel level to be too high in the carb bowl.

CRAFTSMAN LEAFBLOWER TROUBLE

After you do the above, try to clean out the fuel line. It may only be letting in a small amount no matter the throttle control.

Craftsman gas leafblower

Hey Karl,

To me this sounds like its getting too much fuel after it has been warmed up so either there is too much gas flow to the unit or there is not enough. check your primer bulb once this happens if there is a full bulb when it shuts down chances are its getting too much gas, if its empty then its not getting enough and your fuel filter could be starting to plug up or is not in the tank properly.

Audio noise while car is on no prob in past

I've had that same problem before. What was happening is one of my amps safety cut off usually a built in surge protector basically, was coming on thus the loud thump. Most of the time when it comes on the amp goes off. Could be a power issue as well. Have your alternator checked too. Once your car is started it is run by your altenator so it could not being supply enough power. I fixed my problem by adding two 1 fared capacitor, one for each amp I was running.
