SOURCE: TV TURNS OFF SUDDENLY

IF YOU HAVE TO UNPLUG THE T.V. TO GET IT TO RESTART, IT IS PROBABLY HIGH VOLTAGE SHUT DOWN. IT CAN BE THE FLYBACK TRANSFORMER OR POSSIBLE BE A SHORTED CRT.
DOES THE SET HAVE HIGH USAGE ON IT ? WAS IT A FLOOR MODLE ? IS IT WATCHED MORE THAN 4-6 HOURS A DAY ? YOU CAN DROP THE CRT BOARDS AND SEE IF IT STAYS ON. OR REMOVE THE HIGH VOLTAGE (RED ) LEADS OUT OF THE HIGH VOLTAGE BLOCK. MAKE SHURE YOU DON'T REMOVE THE ONE GOING INTO THE BLOCK. ONLY GOING OUT. ALSO CHECK FOR COOLANT LEAK ON THE BOARD. IF THE STK'S ARE ON A SEPRATE BOARD YOU CAN UNPLUG THE CONVERGENCE BOARD AND SEE IF IT STAYS ON.
UNFORNATULY SAMSUNG IS NOT TAKING PHONE CALLS FOR TECH. SUPPORT. THE ONLY WAY TO CONTACT THEM IS BY FAX, AND IF YOUR LUCK THEY CALL YOU BACK IN THE NEXT 2-3 WEEKS....

SOURCE: "52" RCA Scenium DLP; No Picture and the buttons flash on and off

On the back of the TV, you'll find the Access door to your lamp. Unplug the TV from power, and remove the screw on the access panel. Inside you'll find 2 additional screws holding in the lamp housing assembly. Remove the screws, then the lamp assembly and visibly inpect it. You'll know if the lamp is defective, it will have obvious damage. If so replace with part # 260962, you can acquire this lamp for arround 100 dollars off ebay, or 262.00 direct from RCA.

I have a hitachi 50 "plasma that was given to me

First do you see a light indicating that the TV has power? There are two power buttons on the TV (the main power and the regular power button). The red standby light will light up when the main power switch is on. This indicator is just to the left of the remote I/R sensor. You can find the main switch on the bottom front of the tv (it is under the tv forward of the stand). Turn on the Main power if it is not on. Then try the power button on the control panel of the TV again.

Does the standby light change color or blink? (Red is standby, orange is power savings (no signal), blue is on.) If the main switch is on and the standby light doesn't come on, the TV has a problem at the power supply. Try unplugging the unit for a bit (at least 30 seconds) and then plugging it back in. This will reset the internal circuitry. If you see a blinking light, then the TV is reporting a self-test failure. I do not know the codes for this model Hitachi Plasma TV.

The manual for the Hitachi P50H401 TV is available from Retrevo: http://www.retrevo.com/support/Hitachi-P50H401-TVs-manual/id/1233ci869/t/2/ . You will need to enter a code to access the pdf.

I'm assuming you don't have one of the special versions that were intended for large audiences that were only controlled by remote (no control keys on the front of the TV). Remotes.com has the original remote or a substitute remote if you need it. See http://www.remotes.com/remotes/servlet/rs?a=gmi&uuid=13104063628240&smodel=P50H401&brand_pn=HITACHI_P50H401 .

I hope this helps.

Samsung 55" flat panel lcd tv is not coming on the standby button light stayes on but no picture coming on it doesn't come on with the switch only by plugin it to the outlet.

Does the backlight come on? or even flash on and off when the TV is switched on? I presume the standby light is showing 'blue' then. Do you have any sound? Also, when the TV remote is pressed, does the standby light flicker?

Will not power up. Stays in standby mode.

these particular tvs are very sensitive to voltage changes spikes etc.first turn off main power switch wait at least 30 sec if standby come on wait another 30 then turn off main power again and unplug tv for 1 min then plug in turn on main switch wait 30 sec then turn on tv with remote resets system.then buy a ups and always wait at least 30 min after turning tv off to turn back on if not causes power failure and after each press of power button wait 30 seconds before trying again lmk good luck
