Since water doesn't drain out properly ,it could be a clog in the drain line. Often the problem is at the point where the drain line attaches to the garbage disposer or household drain line. You should remove this line and clear it form any debris in the hose or the hose connection. Be sure to reattach the hose before starting the dishwasher again.

I think I had a similar problem to this. It seems like it was starting a cycle but then it just stalled and made a buzzing noise and it did not drain properly. I opened the bottom of the dishwasher where the draining pump was located. take off the plastic cover and I found bits of broken plates were jamming the fins on the pump... Try this and see how it goes.. Hope it was of some asistance.
