Inspiron 1525 battery doesn't completely charge and a/c adapter not reconized. My laptop is only two months old so I called dell and they said I needed another battery and motherboard. I can't do wothout my computer for 8 weeks. It doesn't seem real that I would need these items so quick after purchasing the computer. Can you help me?

Update your power supply driver. There are some problem about dells power supply system. It also cant recognize the battery. If this cant solve the problem, advise you buy a new laptop battery replacement . Dont buy dell expensive OEM battery, see something in revive dead laptop battery in http://www.laptops-battery.co.uk/blog/revive-dead-laptop-battery.htm or you can cheap replacement there.

Good luck.

SOURCE: Inspiron 1525

It shouldn't take more than 2 weeks to have them replace the motherboard or the battery unless you're asking for a system replacement. The only way you can fix that is by replacing the parts.

Dell 1525 not charging

Borrow someones 'Dell' brand A/C adapter charger.
If that works then yours is bad. If it doesn't then it could be the battery, but more likely the main board.

I have a Dell Inspiron 1525 and had the same exact problem. I finally called Dell and they sent a tech out. They replaced my power cord and all the software. The reason for this is because Dell Inspirons has a default in the AC cords. Sounds like the AC power cord is the problem. You could find someone who has this cord and test your Inspiron with it or try calling Dell! It worked for me.

Yes, dell will relace the faulty part absoultely free, if your laptop is under warrienty, you need call to dell technical support and log a call, you have to provide your system service tag when you are talking to Dell person. Make sure you sould not loose the key rubber, you need to submit that to Dell Engineer

Dell inspiron 1525 battery not charging properly

You could try buying a new laptop battery. Typically laptop batteries lose their luster after a year.

If the laptop is booting up to a system clock for you to enter the correct date and time, then you may also need a new CMOS battery. They're a small battery on the motherboard.

Both batteries are fairly cheap but you may want to take the laptop to a certified tech to test or replace the CMOS.

OR if the laptop is still under warranty then get Dell to do it for you.

Dell Inspiron 1525 pulgged in but not charging

That is an indicator that your battery is going bad. It is also possible that your charging mechanism on the motherboard is failing, but that is fairly unlikely. I would explore that further only if a new battery did not fix the problem.

My Dell inspiron 1525 says "plugged in. not charging"

I had exactly the same problem. I got onto Dell support because my Inspiron 1525 was still in warranty and they told me to update the Bios which I did. That was nearly 2 months ago and I haven't had the problem since and it was a daily occurance.

Dell touchpad disappeared

Try using your touch pad when your laptop is running on batteries (while power supply is disconnected).
Many of new power supply supplied with dell laptops are faulty and cause touchpad to work erratically/horribly
