I need to know the exact version of ACDSee you are using. After you open a photo with ACDSee and before you try to save, click on Help and About ACDSee and tell me the version number. This will tell me if you have the latest, updated version.

If we can't get ACDSee working on Vista are you interested in suggestions for alternate programs? I have one I much prefer to ACDSee that is easy to use, works great on Vista, and is totally free.

Right click on the start-up icon for ACDsee Pro. You will see a menu box appear that says Compatibility. Check the option to run the program in compatibility mode for an older version of windows. Restart Windows and start ACDsee Pro - should have no more problems

Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

Repair tool is not working on some photos

I had the same problem.
Scan the negatives in color mode and then convert to b&w in ACDSEE. The repair tool will now work on that negative.

Will print fine but cannot get scanning funtion to work since bought new dell computer

if the communication is established ..i mean the driver and all..and the printer its seen in the computer ,,and the scanner too..and it actually works...and scans and print ..but the importing into the computer is the issue ...that means that it needsthe actuall software that operates it to be updated..cause it is probably not for Vista if you upgraded to vista or use a computer that does...also you may look for a driver for vista on the manufacturer site ..or let me know if you need one ..cause there is the possibility that the driver you have it is not compatible this case..
If you have all drivers ..and so ..but just the software do not work may use a photo manager to operate the actual import from device you make the scanning and after that use a feature for import from device into a photo manager and get the result into your computer ..ACDsee 9 is one of these ..and have such a function ..
another way is to use the windows scanner and cameras feature from the control panel...and import with the wizard..

Nikon Coolpix 8800 and VISTA Ultimate 64

in Vista Nikon Picture Perfect is not a requirement   Any photo software will do.   I remove my chip and insert it into my printer to upload photos manually as though it were a hard-drive   i used to use the firewire and leave the chip in my Nikon d70s and let windows or the photo software of your choice offer to upload the photos for me.  Try Picasa or ACDSee Photo Manager and ACDSee Pro    peer to peer sites or torrents share these with cracks/serials for you to explore Picasa is free online

I have a dell with Vista. Photo Shop 6.0 Editor will not open, get a message that Photo Shop Editor is not responding.

Find the Photo shop 6 program on your computer and RIGHT click on it. Choose properties. In the next window, click the "Compatability" tab. In theis window, CHECK "Run this program in compatability mode for:" and choose one of the operating systems from the drop down choices below. If this does not work, you may have to upgrade Photo Shop.
