Question about Standard (CRT) Televisions
I have this tv (rca 27v414t) it will come on for a few seconds and then it will shut off can you please help me or guide me to solve this problem, thank you. I know a litle of electronic I know how to solder can you please help me to fix it? thank you.
After replacing the flyback transforer and horizontal synch transistor you will need to adjust the flyback transofrmer as follows:
Turn each setting to just above mid point clockwise, turn the tv on and you should see a white screen with retrace lines in it just before the tv turns back off. set yourself up with a plastic screw driver and prepare for adjusting the focus(top adjustment) turn the tv on and adjust the focus by looking at the pixels on the screen. repeat as needed to complete.
Next setup for the brightness (lower adjustment) turn the tv on and adjust the brightness to where the screen appears to be black(no haze or lines). After the tv turns off wait a few seconds and turnit back on, it should stay on, if not then the brightness setting it too far one way or the other and "TecniklyNuts" it correct, the system detects the setting out of range and turns the tv off. Repeat the two adjustments until the system stays on.
