Question about Sony BRAVIA KDL-40S2000 40 in. LCD HDTV
My TV doesn't fully display text, credits etc. which appear on the left hand side of the screen - ie. only some 85% of the writing can be seen. Is this a set-up issue or is a problem with widescreen TV's.
Grateful your advice.
Can't even get subtitles on this model. Is it possible at all? My parent claim they did have access previously but now there is nothing. I think it may have run though the DVD player possibly. Unfortunately they purchased the tv and DVD player at the same time. 2 separate remotes that do not share any functions. Almost as though 2 different brands from 2 different eras!

These new LCD televisions have a number of display modes, some which magnify and crop the video. You must have one of the magnification modes on, something called "wide zoom". As a result, some of the text is getting cropped because the whole picture is actually cropped (you just didn't notice). Use your remote and try changing the display mode. You should be able to get to "normal" and then basic wide (not wide zoom). Try it out. :-)
