If the rechargeable battery is more than 3 - 4 years old then the battery could be worn out.Rechargeable batteries have a finite number of charge and discharge cycles andwill lose their charge capacity over time, i.e. won't charge to 100% andgradually the charge reduces until the battery won't charge up at all. OR Thebattery shows a 100% charge but when the adapter is disconnected the batterydrops off to zero capacity in a very short time. If the battery drops to anunacceptable charge level then the battery needs to be replaced.
Well, you should take the battery out. Charge it completely and then turn it on. If it keeps happening try getting a new battery or go to your carriers store.
i am going to try and help you...just take it to the store where you got it, or take it to radio shack and try to figure out the problem...mine is doing the same thing and i am severely mad at it so just take it to an electronics store
try formatting it do so plug it and open my computer.go to the drive of the mp3 and right click it.in the sub menu click format(to foramt it you have to be administrator)(also be sure backup all of your music, videos, pictures, and anything that you want to save.) another thing is that the battery could be going bad.mp3 do weird things when the battery goes bad. if you got any more questions feel free to email me at [email protected]
only thing you can do is let the battery go dead and hope that it will come on properly, you can also try pluggin it into usb, but your probably alreay tried that.
ok , what you do is you pry off the bottons on the front, then there should be a screw. unscrew it. then youll see the screen thing. there will be two metel circals, one of them is probably dusty, just wipe it off and put every thing back together, the buttons just snap back on.
Try this:
Make sure the GoGear is disconnected from the computer
Turn the goGear off
Hold in the volume + button
Reconnect the goGear to the computer while holding in the volume + button
Continue holding the volume + button for 20-30 seconds until a "Found New Hardware Wizard" window pops up
If this does not work, the GoGear is toast, call 1-888-PHILIPS and see if you are still in warranty
