Before you go to Europe you will want to refer this question to your travel agent: What carrier should I engage for cell phone service.

After that choice your phone can be fitted with an appropriate SIM chip by the Carrier of your choice. There are SIM cards today that will work across most all of Europe for the 900 series phone.

To answer your question. Yes, it will work in Europe. And, you need only to select a telephone carrier and have a SIM chip installed.

Worldvet

Many of the phones that come from other country may be in locked state.to unlock ,you have to meet the samsung mobile care center in your region and tell them about that or it can be unlocked by the local dealers but we cannot guarantee the work done by them .so meet the authorized dealer to unlock the phone .thank you

Hi

This may be a codec problem. I resolved all my issues by installing Core media player.

http://www.10001downloads.com/software/the-core-media-player-1601.html

Its free and a better all round solution for sound or video on the Omnia. Easy to use and install - worth a go. You dont say what firmare you are running on the phone. There are now many "cooked" (customised) roms available for the Omnia with all sorts of facilities head over to :
