Trans swap does a trans from a 91 4 cyl fit on a 94 6 cyl

No the 95 is a 4T60E transmission. It's electronically controlled via the ecm on your vehicle. The 91 is a TH440T4.and is not electronically controlled. Transmissions are wired different and will not work correctly due to the ecm controller. Ther are plenty of 4t60e trannys. in the salvage yard as they are used in many larger gm vehicles.

If automatic transmission wont work engine block's are not the same, if stander transmission you could swap out bell housing held on with four bolt's from one to the other. Good luck and hope this was very helpful.

A donor truck is a good idea, but the transmission, bell housing, cross members and transmission mounts will all be the same as long as you dont go from manual to auto or opposite. motor mounts will be different tho. i put a manual trans off of a 94 F-150 with a 300 6-cyl into my 91 bronco with a 351 V8 (5.8L) and used all the mounts and crossmembers off of the 94. only thing is the petal assm was different due to body changes. and the 5.8L also has a 11" clutch **** and the 5.0L and 4.9L both use a 10" disk. the bad thing is you will have a ton of stuff to change like the ECU, and engine harness and and other then the Ypipe and converters the exhaust will work. such a project is not for the faint of heart.

No the 4l60e is a electronic transmission you need to find a 700r4 transmission which are very common. Check with your local junk yards and are pretty easy to install. About a full days worth of work for a person with general know how of vehicles.

it should, on the 4.0 they are all the aw4 tranny.

depends on the engines,call a scrap yard and ask what the interchanges are,or possibly an auto parts store

actually i would say no because there are 6 cyl transmissions with 4 frction plates and v8's have 5 friction plates in the forward planetary gear

a np241 from a th400/4l80e would have the 32 spline that is need for a manual trans, one from a 700r4/4l60e is 27 spline input, in 94 the switch was changed and the cam to activate the switch was changed so if you get a 94 np241 you then will need to wire in a 94 switch into the older harness
