Question about Sony CDX-GT720 Car CD/ MP3 Player

Display problems with my Sony headunit model CDX-GT720.

Hello, my name is Rick, and I am the (not so proud at the moment) owner of the nice Xplod headunit that I have in my 92' Nissan Sentra. I am haveing problems with the display honestly. The display (where the numbers and pretty little animations and pictures) show up...flashes in and out, while the sound and everything remains the same. I have asked around, and the majority of them were "it's a Sony, and Sony makes **** decks." Another answer I got was "My Pioneer deck was doing the same thing. Turns out, it was the connections at the alternator." I paid a good amount of money for this deck honestly. I thought it would be a good deck..since it was a Sony. All is well except this one problem, with the display flashing on and off. The unit NEVER turns off. The sound quality is always the same...nothing makes sense...so could SOMEONE PLEASE help me figure this out??
