Swipe down from the top of the phone to bring up the brightness setting. Then swipe it back to the right. The setting may be hard to see, but should be there.
I had to get a new phone when mine did that and then I realized that i cut it down all the way and was not able to see the screen try squinting really hard and see if u see anything
Is the screen pitch black or a blue/grayish ? Dim the lights in the room, and shine a bright flash light on the panel. Turn on the set, if you see a faint picture, you have a backlight issue
your screen have been affected with water. When you accidentally drop your phone in water, DO NOT turn the phone on yet instead put the phone in a bag of rice, the rice helps to seep water. Since you turned on the phone already, there is nothing to do but get the phone repaired or replaced.
Your CRT's getting old. Plus dust on lenses don't help much. You have to open front frill (below screen) and back of the TV. Clean up lenses using dry paper towels, do not wet. In front of the TV after grill remove center cover and locate "black box" that have 6 potentiometers on it that looks like plastic adjustment screws for philips #2 screwdriver slots. 3 of them should read "Focus" These you don't touch. Another 3 reads "Screen". Put some still image on your screen (like paused DVD movie frame). Carefully add brightness in all 3 colors trying to avoid horizontal lines appearance. If lines show up, just turn it back a little. Try to keep color balance looking at the picture. This procedure will brighten up image but further reduce CRT's life.
In case that you posted wrong model here and you have DLP Projection TV - just replace the lamp.

Contrast ratio is the ratio between black and white. So low contrast ratio (5000:1) means you can;t see the screen so well in a bright room (where there's a lot of sunlight) A higher contrast ratio (20000:1) means the screen is brighter so easier to see in bright rooms.
Pixel pitch refers to the distance between pixels. The lower the pixel pitch, the sharper the image
The picture is very dark
it is mostly due to
1 power supply output is low.
2 voltage on crt g2 pin is low.
3 video output supply is low.
4 some components in luminance section might be defective or loose.
5 finally crt getting weak is set is old.
good luck
A set that has only a 1/2 inch bright line through the middle of the picture, from left to right, has a vertical output IC that is not working correctly. If the 1/2 inch line is in the middle but going up and down, then the horizontal yoke circuit has stopped working. These are problems which should be looked at by a qualified tech, but if the set was purchased 6 months ago then it should still be under the manufacturer's warranty.
Use Motorola Phone Tools (MPT) to backup your phone to a computer. You can reload to a new phone if you have to go that route. From what your describing you just need to replace the flex cable.
