Question about Boston Acoustics TVee Model Two TV Speakers

No sound in sound bar and subwoofer

I have a brand new Boston Acoustics Tvee sound bar and subwoofer. It worked fine for one day. The second day, I went to turn it on, no sound. Fooled around with it, and was able to manually adjust volume and had sound. I then attempted to program the remote and when I wasnt able to program it, I gave up and then went to adjust sound manually again. It then would not play sound, nor let me adjust volume. Green lights are on both subwoofer and sound bar, so power is good. Audio cables are in correctly. I have tried everything. No sound! Please help.

    Installed the TVee Model Two easily, enjoyed its performance for several hours. Turned it off and went to bed. Turned the system on this morning and only sound from bass unit. Fooled around with my TV settings - nothing. Tried turning sound bar off on the back of unit, and turned it back on and it worked, but only for a few moments. If I turn it off and on, it will work for a few minutes and then no sound - green lights stay on?

    light button a constant orange. will not take any remote programing from a comcast remote. NO SOUND at all . plug cables into other input/output ports and the light turns green but obviously no sound. tried comcast box and direct to TV : constant orange light. What next?

For Jameslicon re wireless sub going on and off repeatedly. Both the soundbar and the sub have 4 wireless channels - try a different pairing of those channels. There is a sliding switch on the back of both units. I set each of mine to channel 4 and the problem went away. There is also a signal level switch with 3 levels on the back of the soundbar. If the wireless channel idea does not work, try a different setting on the level switch. Good luck.

Return it. A loud pop when watching TV ( or movies) burns up something inside. The unit will then get a red light and nothing will ever turn back on. Faulty unit. I went through 4 of them before i got me a Samsung:)

It could be that the unit is bad, it could also be that the device providing the input is bad. I doubt the cables are bad, but that could be also. Could it be possible that your television has a menu setting that turns the outputs off and on?

Even without the sub, you still get sound through the Bar.

Only way to test it is, different cables, alternate device to provide input for sound.

Take it to a cell phone repair shop locally and let them look into it, you could need to have a new main board installed.

I have a Rowe R80 jukebox and after moving it it has no sound through the speakers I am in New Zealand


Well, in addition to all the fine suggestions that are here, I would like to add the simple and easy things that may have happened during the move.

IF YOU ARE NOT GETTING A LOUD POP WHEN THE MACHINE IS POWERED ON.......

1) Make sure that the wires on the terminals below are still connected to the screws. There is one ground and one each for left and right. The lower the tap the lower the (max) volume of the jukebox.If they are not connected there will be no sound.

There is a jumpers on the terminal strip where the volume control connects. Make sure that these connections are correct and tight. Also make sure that the jumpers did not fall off.

If you are getting the loud pop in the speakers when the power is turned on .....

Check the plug on the side of the mechanism, just below the back of the tone are.(looks like a little tube socket) Check to see that it is connected to the mech and the CORRECT PLACE on the amplifier. It mat be possible to have this end in the wrong place. bf77613e-82a3-4e37-b8fe-cc80f4d4dbcb.jpg

Sound problem with JBL Creature II


I had a problem with the speakers not working properly. The green lights lit, but the amount of sound coming from the speakers compared to that of the sub was much lower.
I decided to take it the speakers apart.
I found that the magnets on the speakers had moved forward slightly in the plastic cage they sat in. I pushed them back as far as they would go, and Hey Presto! working again!
