The only Plasma TV that will operate above 6000 ft. in manufactured by Runco. The Television is very expensive aroun $8000, but worth every nickel.

Yes. Most plasma TV manufacturers only recommend to use their televisions at elevations under 5000 feet. To be sure if a TV will work at high altitude, check the specifcations in the manual before you buy.
Samsung's latest plasmas have a spec of 6500'.. recent issue of Widescreen Review, calibrator had a recent model (50A550) operating a few hundred feet above that with no problems, no buzzing.
a plasma screen panels have a gas in them (like a flourecent tube) the gas gets too pressurized and soemtimes causes a low humming sound. I would go by the specifications

After upgrading to Windows 7 my Vizio LCD TV/PC monitor now is not able to hold the entire desk top. I can hardly see the start button and the back arrow while in IE. Is there anything I can do?
