Sunbeam Mixmaster Heritage Series Model 2350 speed problem

I have a problem with my model 2350 Sunbeam Mixmaster Heritage Series not having variable speed. When I turn it on, it speeds up to maximum... not matter where I turn the control. I've researched for parts and found a circuit board but only for other models. Is there a fix for this?

I HAVE THE SAME MIXER AND THE SAME PROBLEM..AND I'VE ONLY USED THE MIXER 3 TIMES AND IT HAPPENED ON THE THIRD USE...THE VARIABLE SPEED IS ONLY "THE FASTEST SETTING", NO MATTER WHERE YOU SET THE SPEED...THINK WE MIGHT BE FLAT HEADED..AND REPLACEMENT IS OUR ONLY OPTION...SO SAD, THINK IT'S A REFLECTION OF MANUFACTURING TODAY...

The low speed setting on our mixer is very high. The range of speed if from fast to very fast. Is there any way to fix it? Can I remove the back dial and replace the resistor that controls the speed? Maybe add something in series? Any help appreciated.

I also have used it a total of three times, i went to make oatmeal cookie dough and a small piece of butter jammed the blades. It was an easy unjamming however, now the variable speeds don't work. Its super fast or nothing. Can we call the service center to have them repair it or is the circuit board pretty much shot and i need a new one?

The speed control on the back is simply a variable resistance potentiometer, the same thing that controls the volume on older amplifiers. The output current to the motor is supplied by the printed circuit board in the bottom of the unit. This allows gradual increases in speed to avoid over-torquing the motor on speedup. Even the poshy-posh-posh mixers do this.

At least it still works. The most common problem is the cheap plastic drive gears that strip out with a mild cookie dough, this jams the beaters together and requires burial-at-dumpster.

I'm from Colombia my blender buy it in the US, when I use it here in Colombia does not increase the speed always remains constant, not increase, because it can be?

Nothing different between blenders working in US then Colombia. Your blender is defective. Bad luck you bought it in US and never tested before taking it to Colombia. Well, actually a blender can work with just one speed!

I have a Sunbeam Mixmaster 2351 Heritage Series that the speed dial control numbers fade. Sunbeam replaced my mixer but want to prevent the same problem for reoccurring, Any suggestions?

I would propose to solution to your problem,
one. Try getting some clear contact and cutting a a square or circle a little more than the size of the dial. Removed the dial if possible and later clear contact over the surface.
Two. Get some clear nail polish and cover the markings on the dial with thin coat.
Warning warning warning!!! (Test the nail polish on a surface that is not exposed, for example underneath) to make sure that the nail polish does not react with the surface of the mixer.
Regards
Trevor

My Sunbeam mixmaster bowl won't turn, how can I fix this?

I believe that this particular model is supposed to have the bowl mix separately. I have removed the black piece from the bottom of the larger bowl in order to allow manual spinning. If I am able to figure out how to fix the bowl spinner I will make another post.

How do you remove the speed control on a Sunbeam Mixmaster Heritage Series Model 2350 Thanks

Remove the end cap. It has 3 legs which are hooked UNDER the inside rim of the outer speed dial ring.
These legs look like a one piece plastic part as if it belongs to the outer ring, but it does not.
The end cap legs can be bent inwards, i.e. away from under the speed ring,

Make sure you have good light, so you can see how the legs move.

With a flat screwdriver (fairly wide) bend back (twist the screwdriver gentle) all three to evaluate how strong they are and get a feel.
That also help loosening them.

I recommend to bend back one at a time and put small shims where the screwdriver goes.

While I was able to do it without, it with shims it will be easier to keep the legs inward.
Once you get two legs to come up from under the ring, you can get the entire end cap out.

Had to do this to fix the tilt mechanism. There was an inner nut that had came off the holding bracket. I suspect vibration made it come off , so I put some nail enamel on it after fixing.

The speed ring screws etc. are all accessible once you have the end cap off.

To get to the actual speed control knob, just unscrew the next little part, you'll see and it becomes obvious how to get at the rest.
