Re: Computer says Scanner not connected
Try plugging the USB connection at the back of you computer. If still didn't work out, delete the old driver install the new one, be sure cables are connected and intact. If still didn't work out bring your scanner to the service center near you

First reboot your computer, then check you connection with from the scanner to the computer. By this I mean pulling it out of the scanner if its not permanently mounted on the scanner. Then pull out the computer side and push it in and try to scan. If this doesn't work then if you have another USB cable swap it out with the one on your scanner and try and scan again. The only communication link with your scanner is that cable.
First of all, check All desire cable is connected to computer. Power cable of Scanner and data cable (USB, COMM) connect to computer. Install Driver of the Scanner, if u not have a scanner driver, search on the Internet with the scanner model.
I have a PrimeFilm 1800u. When I attempt to scan into a Roxio application, the program does not respond. The hardware and software are both installed. No problems scanning or communicating with this scanner before. Is there somethere there that has a soultionfor this problem ? Thanks
The new PC was Vista and the CD that came with the scanner completed loading a driver without complaint. However, a new driver was needed for Vista. After downloading the new driver from Epson, uninstalling the old driver and installing the new driver, it worked.
Click the "+" next to "Imaging Devices". This will show all Imaging Devices previously and currently connected to the computer.
If listed, right-click on the DocuMate 510 then left click on "Uninstall"
If asked to confirm the uninstall, click "OK"
If the scanner is listed more than one time, uninstall ALL occurrences of the scanner
IF you see "?Other Devices" in the device manager list, click on the "+" to view the list of Other Devices
Right click on any instince of the scanner in this list then left click on "Uninstall" The scanner may be listed as any of the following:
Once the scanner has been completely removed from Device Manager, turn the scanner back on
If there is no Found New Hardware message when the scanner is turned back on and the scanner is not listed in Device Manager under Imaging Devices or Other Devices, this typically means the scanner is not communicating correctly with the computer. Try plugging the scanner into a different USB port or using a different USB cable.
