Question about D-Link DPH-50U IP Phone
I installed latest driver for DPH-50U on my Vista OS, it worked fine, but after I run Windows Update, vista gives me blue screen (memory dumps ), no matter I uninstall or reinstall driver, it either shows me blue screen again or the “D-Link device not present"

Yes, installing twice helps and also you have to plug the DPH-50U always in the same usb slot, as long as you have the same OS installed.
If you can't figure out your original USB hole, you will always have trouble...

My DPH-50u occassionally needs to be reinstalled (still haven't figured out why) but this latest time was much more painful. It sounds similar to this problem and I couldn't find a solution anywhere online so I thought I'd share what I finally got to work. The uninstall option in the Start menu did nothing, the uninstall option in Add/Remove Programs also did nothing. If I inserted the CD it acted like it was installing the drivers fresh and then would blue screen. In fact, just unplugging the USB blue screened my computer. I finally ran the updated 1.1 driver setup.exe which first uninstalled everything and then reinstalled. The steps weren't quite like in the Quick Install guide, but once it said it was done I plugged in the USB cable which then prompted another driver install popup window the only trick here is that windows wants to install drivers from the wrong location so twice I had to repoint it to the folder where I had downloaded the updated drivers. Once I went through that process twice, I was all set! Hope it helps someone else.
