Question about Amana NAV5800A Top Load Washer
Washer will start, runs a few seconds, then stops. After several minutes it will do this again and again until end of cycle. Doesn't matter which cycle you put it on. Doesn't matter what size of load. Doesn't matter what water temp. Takes 24 hrs to go thru a full reg. cycle.
Sound like the internal overload on the motor may be going out .Thsi is usuaklly due to bad or worn bearings. If you know anything abotu electricity, take a voltage reading at the motor whe it is in the run cycle(when it stops) If you stil have have the 110Volts to the motor then the motor is bad and need to be replaced. If you do not then you wil have to look elsewhere for the problem.
