I have 17 inc lcd viewsonic and the monitor gets start in 15 mins. that means it takes 15 min. time to display. pls pls pls send me the solution

It sounds as if you have a blown capacitor somewhere withing the monitor's power supply. A general electronics repair shop should be able to identify and replace the broken component.colinu.jpg

Pc won't turn on. doesnt do anything after the power button is push. no lights,no sounds, no fans, nothing.

Most commonly that is caused by a burnt out power supply. You will need a little knowledge of assembling computers to know how to replace one, but an electronic store like Best Buy should be able to help with the purchase and installation of a new power supply.

Good luck.

Sounds like a power problem on Power supply board. It could possibly be damage or overheating. It will have to be replaced or fixed by someone good with LCD's
This is something i wouldn't try to repair by myself.
Hope this helps a little bit. Good luck

connect the monitor with another desktop. If if works then problem is with your ram/graphics card or motherboard with inbuilt graphics. If the monitor functions the same way as before have a look at the pins on the connector. Bend/dirty pins can play havoc. If they are ok take the monitor to service centre.

You will need to call the support staff at viewsonic. Be persistent, they WILL have to do some digging and that can affect thier allowable talk time as call center agents are always under the gun. Also be persistent bnecause alot of agents can be lasy and not want/feel like doing a bit of digging.

Hi i turn on my pc and my monitor will come on and show windows and then it will go black.I tried it on another pc and it does the same thing can you tell me if i can fix this. thanks anns

OK :-) I am guessing that your monitor is corrupted and I think it's the monitor's problem not the pc's. I would recommend for you to borrow a friend's monitor and test it own on your pc to make sure if it's the pc's problem. If it works fine that means you should buy a new monitor.

Installed new Power supply, Monitor stays in standby...? So I noticed my fan was starting to go out, then it actually went out, my power supply would start to over heat and the cpu would shut itself...

Your problem is either the processor or the motherboard. that is why your monitor is not getting any signal. first try to replace the processor because I suspect that this might be the problem as it has gotten overheated before. if there was a power problem with you power supply you monitor would not power up at all.

Need new power supply but having problems finding one.

power supplies are available many places on the internet, especially on ebay. Try this search on ebay: power +supply +ATX +400W. This is for a 400 watt supply which should be sufficient.
