We have side-by-side Frigidaire. I change water filter every 6 month. Changed filter. Ran water thru new filter and noticed black particles coming thru water line. Called Fridge Filters and they sent me a new filter. We still have black particles (carbon from filter?) coming thru. Can't use the water. Any ideas how to clean the line or get to water reservoir inside fridge? My guess is somehow black stuff from inside the filter broke loose and got into water line and is now in the reserve and the line.

Re: dirty water line from filter
Attach flexable rubber line from water bottle, like is used for race bicycle riders,or tape up a hose to a water bottle. Turn off valve at water pipe leadign to line to filter. Remove filter. place a pan to catch water under the machine. Attach A small diameter hose to water line where water exits to glass. With machine turned on and your rubber hose attached turn bottle upside down and squeeze while pressign glass lever. Flush through approximate one quare or until water stream is clear. Their is no pumb ofor flow the line preaure is al that moves the water so backflushing is easy.

Hello Chuck, thank you for your post!
From the information you have provided you are receiving low water pressure at the dispenser on your Frigidaire refrigerator. This could be due to a dirty or clogged filter and I would check to see when you last replaced it. I have researched model FRS3R5EMB and show the water filter is part number WFCB.
If you have changed your filter within the past six or nine months the low pressure could be due to an obstruction within the water line or an issue within the dispenser. Since it could be anyone of these underlying issues I would recommend having a professional technician out to perform a proper diagnosis and repair. This will help you to avoid any unnecessary part purchases. I hope that this information is helpful to you. -Matt
I appreciate your inquiry, bela_desousa!
From the information you have provided the water dispenser on your Frigidaire refrigerator is not dispensing. Have you recently changed your water filter? If you water filter has not been changed and is dirty or clogged it could lead to potential failure of your water dispenser. If the filter has been changed it could be a faulty dispenser. I would suggest consulting with a professional technician for proper diagnosis and repair. Hopefully this is helpful. -Matt
I understand you are receiving low water pressure for the dispenser on your Frigidaire refrigerator, model# FRS3R5EMB. I suggest changing your water filter. It is recommended that you change your water filter every 6-8 months. I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your appliances status has changed successfully. Hope this is helpful.
Good Afternoon Renee, thank you
for your post! First, have you recently changed the water filter? Most
side-by-side filters are recommended to be change approximately every 6-9
months depending on your water usage and frequency. With the new design of the water filter, incoming water pressure may be
the problem. By leaving the water valve on while changing the water filter, it
may not allow the filter to make a good connection.
When the filter is being put in initially, try turning off
the water supply to the refrigerator, and then insert the water filter. Turn
the water back on, and you should not have any issues.
keep in mind that a clogged water filter or a blocked supply water valve may
also lead to low water flow. If so, melt
the blockage using a hair dryer - but be careful to not melt any plastic parts!
We do hope this resolves your concerns. If I can be of
further assistance, please feel free to reconnect.
Hello stolnvette - I suggest checking that the water valve is completely open (usually located on the back of the unit). When was the last time the filter was changed? Most side-by-side filters are recommended to be change approximately every 6-9 months depending on your water usage and frequency.A clogged water filter or a blocked supply water valve may also lead to no water to the dispenser.
