Question about Kenmore 24032\24036 Top Load Washer

Washer stoped with full load of water and clothes

Kenmore #110 direct drive washing machine just quit on me with a full load of clothes and water. If I advance the dial, it will agitate again but can't get it to drain.

Water trickles out when filling instead of the steady stream


Check the water inlet valve. Remove the water supply hoses and check the small metal screens inside the valve (especially the hot water side) and check the solenoids using a multimeter or ohmmeter. Check for continuity. A lack of continuity means a bad solenoid. Here is a photo for reference. Hope this helped and best wishes.

No water run into the machine, kenmore front load washer


Is water turned on to machine don't laugh it has happened.
Check water valve if you know electricity you can hook 110 volts directly to the water valve and see if water will come out or check with an ohm meter.
Also be sure you have 110 volts to machine check first.

Is it pumping the water out?
If no, check the lid switch and the pump.
If yes, check the lid switch and the direct drive coupling on the motor.
