I have an RCA F36650 television and i cant figure out how to turn off the guide plus that continues to pop up during my tv watching, i bought this tv while my plasma is being repaired from the repair guy and it did not come with an instruction manual.
Its really pretty simple once you know what you are doing..press the guide button and read and follow instructions...it guides you through it...just go slow...you cant break it...just start over if you press wrong button...it provides all the info you need...try it again...

If you have the guide plus feature go into the setup for it and when it asks if you have a cable box, indicate no, when it asks if you have a Vcr also indicate no. Last if it asks for the zip code enter all 9, This should rule the Guide feature out of service and you will know if it is your problem or not---it created a lot of problems in sets that had it, especially RCA or GE sets.
The tv have a dead part call the FBT-Flyback transformer,a big black block of plastice with a red wire with a black cap hook it to the CRT-(Tv picture tube). The FBT-give the tv highvoltages to the CRT(Tv picture tube). This tv is old model of an analog tv probally can't find part for it anymore.
