Whoeva installed your head unit has most probly connected the red or yellow, to the wrong wire. use a voltmetre to find a constant hotwire connect to yellow then turn on ignition and find an acc wire.

I would like to know what color wire goes where on my 2000 venture radio---help

Hopefully you are not splicing wires in your dash. There is a strong possibility that you can short out your entire electrical system. I strongly recommend that if you are installing a radio, you purchase a harness that plugs into your vehicles harness. If you are attempting to fix a stock radio, the wire colors should be visable. Maybe a little more detail on what you need exactly.

Can the orange/white illumination wire from the factory plug be tied into the red or yellow wire? My harness does not have any other available wires.

the illumination wire is for your dash lights so you can dimm the light on your deck. your best bet would be to go to the car audio store and buy a wire harness for 15$ this will convert your in dash factory plug to an after market plugg for your deck.

Hi Can you please help me I have a becker in dash radio/sat nav with a 6 change cd player under my seat on a 2003 landrover freelander. My wife turned the radio off by using various buttons until I showed...

i would look for a little hole about the size of a pen nib. it would be the reset button. if that does not work then i would disconnect your cars battery and then remove your radio fuse for roughly 5-10 min ( to allow any residual currant to drain) then refit both. that should reset your radio system. It is EXTREAMLY rare for serious damage to be done to a car radio just from pushing buttons.
I hope i have managed to help you with your problem.
cheers

I am looking to remove my factory radio in my 2003 Ram 1500 and was wondering if I can get a diagram and instruction on how to do it.

here you go
take factory trim of from around radio should just pull off with a little force snap clips hold in pannel .
then once pannel is off then remove hex head bolts then pull out radio and remove wire harness from back of radio and antenna

to install aftermarket radio you dash kit radio and wire harness and antenna adapter ....

1992 Acura legend radio code

There is a little card (biz card size or smaller) or sticker with a code on it in the Owner's Manual. Well, they actually issue it separately and you're supposed to keep it with your car documents somewhere.

If that is lost, the only legitimate way I know of is your local Honda/Acura dealer. They will get it for you based on the serial number of the radio or the VIN of the car. They will charge you labor to extract the radio from the dash to get the serial#. If you pull the radio yourself they may waive the fee, but you should have the matching car there with you so they will feel comfortable it's not hot. I wrote the code for my old radio in sharpie right on the radio - you could check to see if someone already did this before.

I have a sony explode radio that i want put on my 94 mercury tracer but the wiring from the car is weird. Its not the colors its suppose to be so what can i do?

I simply purchased the required wiring harness on ebay for Mercury Tracer 94, wires matched up for me except car did not have power antenna. Everything has been working fine for 3 months. Oh if you have the stock stereo in the dash recommend purchasing the release keys for it on ebay as well, cheap, but still a little work to get stock radio out.

Radio works intermittent - 0603 code / CHECK on the display

Some can go into "security mode" if power was lost. Popping sound doesnt sound good to me, VW often has seperate amp under driver dash. Id check all power sources but I bet the error code is mech failure.

I installed an after market amp and sub but there is a lot of feedback. How do I bypass the factory limiting system? I have a 2008 accord ex model.

INSTALL A HIGH QUALITY CONVERTER IF U ARE USING THE FACTORY RADIO. CHECK YOUR GROUND CONNECTION, INSTALL A BETTER SET OF RCA JACKS. THE NOISE IS BEING PICKED UP THROUGH THE RCA CABLES, RUN THEM ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE OF THE CAR. U CAN ALSO PICK THE NOISE UP FROM THE FUEL PUMP, BUT BETTER RCA WILL FIX MOST PROBLEMS
