Question about ASUS P4VP-MX Motherboard
I have tried to change the power supply and the memory still my computer shuts down few seconds after i turned it on. What could be the best solution for this? I have cleaned it, dust it off but still i get the same problem when im turning it on.. any solutions?
Sounds like the heatsink fan. Since the system powers up, it's probably not the power supply, since the startup current draw would probably be the greatest draw. I would suspect the heatsink fan next. If you've cleaned up the system (dust can really affect cooling), then I would check to see if the fan is turning and the heatsink is properly fitted. Also, make sure you apply thermal compound to the heatsink.

If you have replaced the power supply, the motherboard is the next possibility. Try disconnecting the power plugs from everything except the hard drive your operating system is on to make sure that they aren't causing the problem (possible but unlikely). Then restart the computer. If it continues to shut off you'll need to replace the motherboard.
