My sony crt tv model no kv-tg21l70 have 4 blink i replace the vertical ic but it has no change so what shall i do?

By the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating procedure, to many popular brand TVs and other devices. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/

I have a sony trinitron 27 in. model KV-27S45 1998 it will not turn on and the stand by timer is flasing 4 times dont know what to do

Hello
Vertical IC inside your Sony TV has damaged [shorted]. Four blinks of standby light denotes it. The number of blinks of standbylight in Sony denotes some fault, and can be determine according the the continueous blinks. In your case, the standby light will blink four times, then stop for a while and will continue to blink four times and so on. Vertical output IC should be replaced with same type and number. If you are aware in electronics and have tools, you yourself can do the work.

Kv-32fs16, no picture or sound , red lights flash 4 times

Hi
In sony tv`s the 4 blink code(sony error codes)usually means that there is a vertical deflection problem.
It is often caused by a faulty vertical output i.c and/or related components. If you feel handy with a soldering iron let me know and i`ll help you with it.
Hope this help Merry Christmas

Standby lighy blinks tv won't turn on

error code 4 is vertical deflecton failure . replace the vertical deflection ic. and the electrolytic capacitors in the vertical circuit. Or if you are lucky just resolder the vetical IC and resolder th horizontal section too.

Vertically short picture

There is a bad capacitor in the vertical circuit. Look for caps in the same circuit and either check or change them. If hte vertical IC is listed as IC301 for example, the caps in the same circuit will be marked C3xx. These are circuit designations that are printed on the board. Look for caps with values of either 47ufd or 100ufd. These are the most common ones to fail.

TV won't turn on, flashing red light

This indicates "vertical stop," meaning that the TV's vertical output circuit is not working. A number of thing can cause this: failure of the vertical output IC or related components; bad solder connections to the vertical output IC (a common problem); power supply trouble keeping the vertical circuit from operating (also a frequent cause). Without having the set available, it's impossible to offer any suggestions for you to attempt repairs beyond looking for bad soldering. Other troubleshooting would require the circuit diagram (often available from the internet), tools and experience working on a live chassis. If you really want to keep the set and don't feel up to self-repair, it might be worth getting an estimate from a shop. These Sonys are nice sets.

Sony-27S46 TV standby light flashes 4 times

Can you please confirm the model number? The category is for KV-27S42 and you state in the title you have KV-27S46. Also, when getting the 4 blink code, do you see a horizontal line on the screen or nothing at all? The 4 blinks means no vertical sweep. This can be a bad vertical IC (what you changed already) or no power to the IC or even a bad capacitor in the same circuit. If you know how, check the supply voltage to the IC. If not present, we need to trace the supply line for that IC. I will need to consult the service manual to provide additional details. Please confirm the model so I get the correct part numbers etc.

Thanks,
Dan

Sony tv no picture only horizontal line

The probable defective part is the vertical IC. If changing that does not resolve the problem, check the capacitors in the same circuit. Also, check for the proper voltages at the vertical IC. If the IC is not being fed its power, it won't work either. I don't have a listing for your specific model. If you can post the vertical IC part number (LA7837 for example), I can list the voltages per pin.

Sony MODEL KV-2585 TV

You have your information incorrect, Q is not the designation for diodes, Q657 would be a transistor. First give us the correct number for the diode and how do you know it is shorted?
