Can I stack a new whirlpool washer model # WFW72HEDW with an old whirlpool dryer model # WED9270XW1? If yes, what stacking kit do I need to use?

You can stack just about any dryer on any washer, so long that the controls of the washer are on the the top of the washer has no penetrations and no control. In general, dryers are independent from the washer and are light weight.
So the conclusion: so long that the dryer does not interfere with operating the washer - YOU ARE A OK :-)

How do i stack the washer and dryer

There are two methods, one is the dryer attaches to the top of the washer. This method requries additional pieces and/or removal of the top panel of the washer. I like this method as the additional weight helps contain the washer movement.

the 2nd method involves a stand or wall bracket. These pieces also would comonly be additional parts from the appliance manufacturer.

How do you clean out the baffles filled with lint in the Whirlpool Duet dryer?

To remove the dryer drum baffles on a Whirlpool Duet, follow these steps:

1. UNPLUG the dryer.

2. Remove the top panel of the appliance by removing the screws that hold the panel in place in the rear of the dryer. With the screws removed, the panel will slide back, then lift off.

3. Locate the bolts that hold the baffles in place on the outside perimeter of the drum. There should be 2 for each one.

4. Remove the screws for the baffle and it will come off.

HELPFUL HINTS:

1. Remove ONE baffle at a time so you can use the remaining baffles to turn the drum manually.

2. Drum rotates in a clockwise direction.

3. When removing or reinstalling each baffle, duct taping it place will keep it from flipping around when you get to the last bolt holding it in place. It will also keep it from dropping in the drum when removing, and help you hold it in place to reinstalling.

If you have any questions, please let me know. I hope this helps you.

How to replace door latch on front load washer

The following link explains how to replace a door latch on a Whirlpool Duet washer:

Some people prefer to remove the top panel of the washer and work from the top. You can try that method, if you like. The screws that hold the panel in place are located in the back of the washer. With the screws removed, the panel will slide back, then lift off. The method I provided in the link, offers the best access, though.

If you have any questions, please let me know. I hope this helps you.

Whirlpool Duet GHW9400PWO: Replacement of the rear counter weight

This is a simple repair. All that should be required is to remove the back panel to access the counterweight. I've performed this repair on several occasions. Loosen the bolts that sandwich the weight between the mounting plates and the whole weight should slide out of its mounted position on the back of the tub. Insert the new weight by sliding it in place and then re-installing the mounting plates and bolts. Tighten until snug. Do NOT overtighten as you may crack the weight. I hope this helps you.
