Will not Reboot back into Windows?

Well you kinda messed up your windws instillation and the only way you are going to get the pc working again as a complete format and reinstall..

1.) boot from the windows xp cd,
2.) delete the partition to remain with one huge unpartationed spcce.
3.)select this unpartationed space and hit enter
4.)do a full format and let windows reinstall it self.

this will remeover everything on your harddrive including the messed up files and boot sector, rewrite you mbr etc..
WARNING IT WILL REMOVE EVERYTHING..

so you will need to reinstall all your drivers and software..

if you need further help or details reply here ..

Hi.... i lost my motherboard cd i want to format the laptop what steps i have to take complete my format process

if you run winxp then follow these steps 1)Insert the bootable windows xp setup dvd/cd in the drive 2)The system will boot the dvd by asking you (PRESS ANY KEY TO BOOT THE CD...)press enter 3)Then the setup files starts to load on the screen , a blue screen appears , it may take sometime for setup loading process. wait till it gets over 4)after the files get loaded ,it will give you three options press enter there 5)then press f8.then press esc on the next screen if it shows the previous version of windows 6)then you will be able to see your drive there ,the drive which you want to format just press d on the particular drive and it becomes unpartioned space, again press c on the unpartioned space and create the drive again , 7)do this for every drive 8)and for installing the fresh copy of windows choose a particular drive and press enter and then choose the format using ntfs NOT QUICK the third option remember tats it for xp
If it is for vista or 7 insert the dvd of the particular os and then install which doesnt have some complicated things like xp

I am having VGN 23G and it came with Vista Home Premium. Right now im using window 7. The os's is working properly. Due to 1GB of RAM using vista is a bit frustrating . All the drivers for VAIO VGN 23G...

All the VAIO Computers will be shipped with the Recovery partition in the Hard Drive. If the Hard Drive is not completely formatted, you can access the Recovery partition by pressing the F10 key for 5 to 10 seconds when the VAIO logo appears.

If you're able to access the Recovery partition, then select Restore C Drive option to restore the Computer back to the factory settings.
Let me inform you how to check the if Recovery partition is available.

Press windows+R key and type diskmgmt.msc and check if you're able to view EISA partition. If EISA partition is there, then the Recovery partition is available and you can access by pressing the F10 key at start-up.
If the EISA partition is not there, then the partition is deleted, then you can purchase the Recovery Discs for your Computer which may cost $15 to $35.

Not able to recover windows on toshiba l300

You need to get disk for Vista from anyone and then use your windows product key mentioned on the sticker on back of your Toshiba Laptop to install Vista again on your computer. But as you had already formatted it so all data is lost now.

How to install window XP on CQ40 laptop .

check your boot setting first in the cmos/bios of your laptop, look for the boot order from there choose your cd/dvd rom as your first boot device then the hard drive 2nd, you will need to this because in order for you to install xp, when you are done save the setting that you have made then restart the machine, insert your windows installation disc, it will prompt you to press any key to boot from the cd rom, from it will check you system config, then just follow the instruction given to you by the installation process read it carefully then it will be easy as 123, windows will guide you thru the installation process and will ask you for the lincense key, just make sure that you use a genuine copy of window if not you wont be able to register your o.s and you wont get the updates from windows

New HDD = 80GB but, Bios sees >1TB unpartioned space.

Whenever you switch drives, you must access the BIOS and have it redetect the drive every time. Try the new drive again. Have the BIOS detect it. Use the Windows XP disk and do a full fomat (youll get an option to quick format it, but dont) If the format fails, then the drive is defective.

Non detection of hard disk in dell laptop while installation of win xp sp2

I haven't heard of not being able to delete a partition before. You could go to the manufacturer of the hard drives website and find the software to do a low level format or you could download a linux distribution and use the installer to remove the ESIA partition.

I would need to know the model of hard drive and laptop if you need any further assistance.
