No, HP 98 works on Officejets, designjets and Photosmart printers.
If it is still in the box, and un-opened, they will take it back without the receipt and exchange it for the one you need.

If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.
Thanks, Joe

Turn it upside down to get the model / serial numbers. These may be found on the box as well. Now, not knowing if you registered this printer with the manufacturer or not, I would still call them for Tech support. Hewlett Packard are real good people to talk to. Their website is helpful too. Google / Bing it, and go to their "Official" website. This is the Best thing that you can do.

If it's still new, take it, in the box with receipt back to the store where you bought it...But MAKE SURE: All the numbers match! I have had printers in the past that were packaged wrong, and the store would reject it, and not touch it at all. This is why the website is best; HP will even send you parts or a replacement free of charge in order to keep a happy customer.

I bought a 10b cartridge by mistake for my esp 3.2 printer and opened the package. Can I make this work or is it money wasted.

Some sales outlets are considerate and take it back for an exchange if you have receipt of purchase. If that does not work then contact the local distributor or the support outlet for Kodak printers using google and send a query with your request to swap. I have recently done this successfully with Brother after buying and opening a wrong cartridge.

What is invalid toner ,is it problem in printer or toner

this error is shown when the installed cartridge is either for the wrong model of printer, either a re-filled cartridge for the right model, but that hasn't been reset properly. if the cartridge is right for that model of printer and you bought it from a legal supplier, you can return it together with the receipt and claim a new one.

Black ink cartridge ran out. i replaced it with an identical one and the printer keeps saying incorrect colour cartridge installed. the colour cartridge was already in and working

  • You have bought the wrong cartridge
  • The cartridge is not a genuine one and it is faulty(about 30% of some non branded carts are faulty)
  • The cartridge is a genuine one and is faulty (about 1% of genuine carts are faulty)
  • The cartridge cradle is faulty and can not read the cartridge chip properly.
i suggest you by another (genuine) cartridge and try it. If it works, you know the other "new" cartridge is faulty and can return if for a refund.

My lagtop is broken , i bought it last October. maybe something is wrong with the harddisk. i lost the receipt. can u BESTBUY repair it?

That's very vague. If you bought it at best buy, you shouldn't need a receipt for the warranty. They store it in the computer by your telephone number. Good luck!

I am assuming from your brief problem description that you are getting bad colors when you changed your color cartridge. Are you using a new and certified HP ink cartridge? Are you doing a refill of your old ink cartridge or have bought one of those "re-manufactured" cartridges? The head in the cartridge is very sensitive - when they are damaged or poorly handled - it could result in cross contamination of the color inks. Hence - the brownish color you see could be the result of that cross-contam. My impression is that the remanufactured or older or continously refilled cartridges may be more prone to getting damaged - maybe bec of inherent wear out. Hope this helps.
