You're going to have to say more! On my VISTA OS, the only file extension with .svg in the Registry relates to Coral WP. There are NO files with extensions .svgz.

Not looking for "install" codes for Office 2003, but rather the solution for not being able to install received downloads...eg, not having permission (even though I am the administrator). Need help changing somethjing in the Registry, I think. Thanks

Still getting INSTALL codes for Office 2003. NEED registry fix to allow me to install download & updated files to Office 2003. Still running Vista. (Note: have received the downloads through Windows Update, BUT they are not permitted to install (Install Failed). Is there a solution? Thanks

REgistry cleaner is not the answer. Have done so. It has something to do with me having FULL PERMISSION

Hi,

  • I already encounter that one on XP but not on Vista. But My issue is resolve by MS Automatic updates.
  • and in Office Updates Microsoft require you to enter the CD/Code Key for the updates to continues.
  • but if your Office 2003 is integrate with your OS. when buy your Vista. i recommended the MS Automatic updates is helpful than, directly selecting the updates to MS Websites, might be that updates is not intended for your OS.
  • Vista OS have some incompatible issue in many drivers. defending on your Vista OS version and Manufacturer.
  • that error appear when your OS is not modified yet or updated.
  • uninstalling and re installing can also help.
  • or you download some files from the web, and save it your pc that infected with viruses. until you dont remove those files the infection is still on.
  • I'm also an administrator in our company and just share to you my experiences.
hope this tip can help you.

God Bless

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

May I offer an alternate possibility, Office 2003 as it is is already being asked "requires elevation" by Vista. Have you considered the possibility that the updates for Office 2003 may make it no longer compatible?

Good luck and Thank you for using FixYa. Happy Holidays.

You can go into control panel... users and change the permissions tho as an administrator you should have full control.... in vista run the program as admistrator... right click on the start up... it's in that menu.... and nmurali.... why would you be promoting software piracy ??

Go to your user profile and check to see if you have all the rights of an anministrator bc it looks like it's not allowing you to install it bc of that., check to see if your not on a guest profile . Once you have all administrator rights it should allow you to install it.

hi Ewan
Vista is a massive install which takes over 7GB from a clean install, after updates it takes considerably more space and top of that are the programmes that we all like to use like nero, office etc, keep an eye on how much hard drive space you have on the boot (C:) partition because overfilling them can cause system crashes, back up as much music, vids, docs and pic as you can. You can also delete the temp files using a programme called ccleaner.exe which is freeware

Are you sure you have Microsoft Office installed on your computer? You need to install Microsoft Office first if you don't have one. You need to purchase an MS Office CD.

I own the student/teacher edition of Microsoft office 2003. Unfortunately I am unsure of the product key. Is there anyway to install this software on a new computer without re-purchasing the program?

I suggest you forget about MS Office and download open office instead. It is free and there are no license keys to deal with

If you still want to install this program, I think you will have to call MS about the product key. The information is stored on the computer the software is installed on in the registry. You should also have the disk with the product code on it.
