Question about Pioneer DEH-P7800MP

1 Answer

I can't select aux when I plug my ipod into my Pioneer stereo.

There is an aux input in the back of the Pioneer DEH-P7800MP, when I plug my ipod into it, it wont give me the aux option in the menu to play it. What can I do to solve it?

Thanks.

I think this can be done with the stereo on but you have to hold down either the e button or 1 of the buttons on the right side of face(not audio)maybe and a menu will pop up and you should run into a screen that ask off on or off you will want it on and then you should be able to access ur ipod by pressing the source button.Hope this helps.

The deh-2700 doesn't have an aux input. The headphone jack in the back is for a wired remote.

I tried connecting a ipod cord in the back of the recievers ports and the volume can't be controlled by the reciever, is there a aux input option for this reciever or is it to old.

How did you "connect" an Ipod to the receiver? If you plugged in RCAs then you were probably plugging into the pre-amp outputs of the stereo. There is an aux option from pioneer (CDRB10) which plugs into the blue squarish plug on the back. I think its a CDRB20 if you ever wanted to add a CD changer as well.

Cannot get rear aux input source to work on pioneer deh-p6800mp. no option in function to able/disable that function. also would like to know the name of the type of plug that is used for front aux. input...

The type of plug on the front aux is a 2.5mm plug similar to what cell phones use. You need a stereo 2.5mm to 3.5mm adapter, then you can run a chord with a 3.5mm jack on both ends to an iPod or some other type of mp3 player.

Cant find aux conection for ipod function pioneer car stereo deh-p6800mp just need help trying to get ipod playing

there is no direct input on this until. although you can purchase the aux input cable from the link i have posted which will allow you to plug in rca's into the rear. after purchasing2.gif this cable, you will have to turn on the aux option in the menu. which you may want to make sure that you can do beffore you order it.

1.with the power on, hold the source button until the until turns off
2. hold the audio button until a menu is opened. (hold function if audio doesn't work)
3. scroll through until you find the aux option and turn it on.
4. turn on the radio2.gif and scroll through the sources and make sure it is there.
5. buy cable and headphone to rca cable2.gif

or you can order the direct ipod adapter made by pioneer, which will let you control the ipod directly from the head unit itself. whichever you prefer http://www.google.com/products/catalog?hl=en&source=hp&q=pioneer+ipod&um=1&ie=UTF-8&cid=9877805020289826524&ei=_vPKSpzyKYe4NrzrpPMH&sa=X&oi=product_catalog_result&ct=result&resnum=1#ps-sellers

I want to connect my ipod to the aux inputs on back of unit

Hello gcd_sun,

The RCA jacks on the back of the Pioneer DEH-1500 are preamp outputs, not inputs. They are to connect an external amplifier for additional speakers or subwoofers.

The output from your iPod is probably "bleeding over" into the receiver detector stage. When the antenna is disconnected, the signal passes into the amp by itself. Connecting the antenna provides enough signal so that both are amplified.

To connect the iPod, you need to purchase a wireless iPod adapter, or a new head unit that includes an "AUX" input or a dedicated adapter for the iPod.

Hope this helps.
