I have a GE GSH 22JFTA Fridge. When trying to dispense water I hear the clicking noise but no water. The ice maker is getting water and making ice. The ice dispensor does work.Could this be a frozen line to the door ? If so where is the best place to start? Thanks

Re: GE Fridge Not Dispensing water
First place to start is in the fridge. Look behind the crisper drawers for the water tank. It may have frozen at the outlet line. Try thawing it out with a hair dryer or a heat gun, being careful of course not to melt anything.

If your ice maker doesn't make ice, check out these expert do-it-yourself ice maker repair ... W. Branner Side by side GE fridge, stopped dispensing ice both cubed and crushed. ... But now that it's cleared the motor won't run to dispense any ice (water .... Our Samsung French door ice maker is not working & is making noise.
Generic possibilities: 1) clogged filter - replace if needed, 2) defective switch, 4) defective water solenoid valve (if you used to hear a clicking from the rear of the fridge when dispensing water - it could be a bad switch OR solenoid) or crushed / kinked water supply line (but if you have an auto ice maker that works - that's not the problem).
Bottom Freezer Once you find the model number I will be able to tell you what part number the dual dual water control valve is or if your ice maker assist you in testing ice maker. If ice Maker is empty try filling with tap water to top edges of ice maker, allow water to freeze and if the ice drops into the ice bin but does not refill with water automatically I would say that the dual water control valve will need replaced. If your ice maker has old shrinking ice from a few days ago it will point to an ice maker problem. Thanks, Sea Breeze
We have the same model and just had exactly the same problem. The coil behind the fresh produce trays is frozen. There are 2 coils, one provides water for the water dispenser and the other to the ice maker. Looking into the fridge the water dispenser coil is on the right hand side. We unplugged the fridge for a couple of hours and the problem has been solved. Try increasing the temperature of your fridge by a degree or two.
Either your water tank in the fridge froze up, the waterline that goes up the freezer door from the bottom hinge froze, or the switch that your glass hits is damaged. Do you hear any humming or noises when you put your glass up to get water?
We had the same problem. Our frigerator is 1.5 year old. Everytime we try to dispence water or ice the dispencer clicks and the whole thing turns of. We had a GE repairman come by: the electronic board needs to be replaced: total cost $350. (cost of the board only: $150.
We are considering disconnecting the dispencer by unplugging the board (according to the repain man the ice maker wil still work)or buy a new refrigurator (for sure NO GE!!!!!!)
