In the bios there should be a tab for onboard devices. Just scroll through the tabs until you find one called VGA. Cycle through the options and pick disable if the option is enable/disable only selections....or pick auto if the choices are either onboard or pci-x , pci, etc.....

Need more power from video card for gaming

The HD3200 on-board (integrated on the motherboard) graphics on this older machine will not support many games. You need to add a separate graphics card to this unit and disable the on-board graphics. Decide on how much you can afford for a new card and check out tomshardware.com VGA charts to see the best performing video card in your price range. You might also consider a newer machine as this is probably about 5 years old. Whatever machine you get, make sure you do not depend on on-board graphics if you want to do gaming.

Nvidia geforce g210

1.5.1 Graphics Subsystem
The board contains two separate, mutually exclusive graphics options. Either the integrated
graphics processor (contained within the ATI Radeon Xpress 200 Northbridge) is used, or a PCI
Express x16 add-in card can be used. When a PCI Express x16 add-in card is installed, the ATI
Radeon Xpress 200 Northbridge graphics controller is disabled.

Hey guys. Built a new computer and decided to add a video card instead of using the onboard video. Bought an EVGA Geforce GTX570 SC 1280MB GDDR5. Pretty sweet. But I cant get it to work. Got the...

Hello, Your on-board vga is still active and by default your computer will use this for displaying graphics. You will need to disable it to use your new card or change priority so that it searches for an external display first. To do this restart your computer, go into the bios and turn it off or change priority. Refer to your computer manual for the proper location of this setting.
Please bear in mind that some systems do not give you the option of disabling your on-board vga. I believe this is to allow you to still use your computer should the external vga fail.

Hope this helps, thanks for using FixYa

Im trying to disable the on board graphics card so i can install then new on i just bought. i have a gateway GT4024 and the onboard graphics card is an ATI Radeon Xpress 200 series

Your board has ATI integerated graphics, no need to remove. You would upgrade by adding a PCIe express card in slot. Do you have such a card? If you need installation instructions, let me know at "add a comment"
