According to Kodak, it might work (they do not give you any warranties). You should try it out (there is no risk involved). If does not work, try installing a new firmware from here

That will probably fix the problem.

Good luck

Will a sandisk 4gb sdhc card work in a dx7590 easy share

The DX7590 works with MMC and SD cards, which max out at 2GB. It will not work with higher-capacity SDHC cards.

Memory card is protected. Reset switch on memory card.

There are several possible causes for "memory card locked/protected", "memory card error", or "no memory card". The most common cause is having the tiny slide switch on the side of the card in the wrong position (but you've checked that already). The second most common is trying to use a 4GB or higher SDHC card with an older camera made before SDHC format came out. There are also other common causes if the above didn't help, with troubleshooting steps for this problem listed here.
Please note that the C633 is an older camera, and can only use 2GB or less standard SD cards. 4GB or higher SDHC will not work with your camera. Fortunately 2GB cards are relatively inexpensive these days, and may be easily found on Amazon if your local store no longer carries them.

Just bought a sandisk 16gb sdhc card for my kodack easy share digital camera and the card will not format

You didn't tell us the make and model of the camera. Not all cameras, especially older ones, can use SDHC cards.

It will not format a 4gb SanDisk SD card

Your 4GB card is actually an SDHC card. The DX6490 works with SD cards. While SDHC cards will fit into the slot, they are electronically incompatible and will not work. You need to go with SD cards 2GB and smaller.

Will not format sandisk

It might be an incompatible card. SD and SDHC cards fit the same slots, but many cameras won't work with the SDHC (high capacity) cards. SDHC is not backwards compatible. Anything over 2GB is an SDHC.

I have a kodak Easyshare c310. I bought a Sandisk (SDHC card 4gb) for the my camera and its not taken any pictures. Could you tell me whats wrong.

SD and SDHC cards fit the same slots, but many cameras won't work with the SDHC (high capacity) cards. SDHC is not backwards compatible.

The card is still useful and valuable, but not with this camera.

I have a Kodak Easyshare Z740 & we just purchased an 8gb sdhc SanDisk & it keeps saying it needs to be formatted it says everything will be deleted and then goes back to disk needs to be formatted...

You need to buy an SD card. the Z740 works with SD and MMC cards, not SDHC cards. While SDHC cards will fit into an SD slot, there are hardware differences which keep them from working. SD cards will work in SDHC devices but not the other way around.

Again, you need to use SD cards, which max out at 2GB. Anything larger is an SDHC card, which does not work in your camera.

Have a Kodak EasyShare C743, bought a SanDisk, won't format

Your camera was designed before the SDHC format came out. Sorry, your camera can only use standard SD cards, those usually 2GB or less. An SDHC card will not be recognized properly by your camera. If you really want to use a 4GB card, do a Google search for SD and "non hc", with the non hc in quotes. Believe that Transcend makes one.
