I had the same problem, my Crosman quest 1000 spring broke in half after around 1800 shoots. I think the quality of this gun is poor. If anyone knows where to get the replacement parts, post it. Thanks

For a better spring, get a E3650 spring from Air Rifle Headquarters.
Crosman should have a replacement for less than 15 bucks. But the E3650 will last longer, way longer.Best of luck to those who needed this.

I have the 3/4 Whisper Drive Plus. It will open about 3-5 inches then close and open 3-5 in and stay that way. Springs look OK and i pulled rip cord and was able to open an close manually. Help

It could be as simple as a drive motor force adjustment...
(you will have to get out the instruction manual)

Most likely your balance spring... one has failed

look over your springs very carefully... if one has shattered your counter-weigh is only lifting HALF the weight of your door.

Most garage doors need to be fairly NEUTRALLY BALANCED for the best, longest and reliable use.

Routine lubrication of the springs can add decades of useful life to your springs... CHATTERING Springs make a lot of noise and will soon shatter (break).

I need to know where the vacum line from the ball shaped object under the hood of my 95 s10 with a 2.2 engine conects to its off and i cant find the place it is supose to hook to

That is the vacuum resevoir tank and I believe it hooks onto a fitting at the base of the throttle body; it should be a small, half inch long tiny pipe. Take off air cleaner which sits on top of throttle body and look on base where it fastens to the engine manifold.

Cant use my rad 5 with a desktop Dell computer with Vista

Temporarily connect another monitor to your computer.

Set the screen-resolution to 800 by 600 at 60 Hertz.

Disconnect the other monitor, and connect your RAD.

It should display.

Try changing the screen-resolution to 1024 by 768, and "test" it.

Ink absorber full

Thank goodness you have another one to use. If you feel confident that you can take a very complicated and delicate machine all apart, and remember how to put it back together again, ok. Some covers have to be carefully pried off. Aways look everywhere for screws holding it together. Put the screws in special trays or envelopes with notes as to where they went, make up names or mark the place with a felt tip pen. You don't want to put a long screw where a short one goes, or vice versa. When you finally get to the ink resivoir and pull out the asorbers, note which one goes where, they are all different, and must go back where they came from. They will rinse out with water, lots of it. Watch out for the mouse-trap type springs across the front that hold a roller in place, they like to fall out when you're not looking, and are a bear to get back in place.

Replace the spring that holds the basket door closed

The spring can be replaced if you can get a new one - however it does take a lot of patience to get it aligned properly. I have purposely disassembled my 500 to clean out the tracks and basket latch and have successfully reassembled. In fact, right now I'm waiting for the coffee to finish to enjoy a fresh cup (although, all be told, at this point I'd rather go grab a beer! ;-) ) The trick with replacing the spring is that it has two different ends - one with a hook that is horizontal to the coil of the spring; the other hook perpendicular to the coil. The horizontal hook goes around the back peg of the latch lever, with this leg being against the bottom side of the lever. The other hook is used to maintain the tension and is placed against the side body of the sliding shelf. When placing the spring into place the angle of separation between the two legs is approximately 15 degrees - note: the legs do NOT overlap (ie, go past each other - they maintain their respective sides). The trick that I learned was to continue to apply downward force on the latch lever, thus forcing the retension peg to be as fully exposed as possible. This reduces the very frustrating occurrence of the spring slipping off the peg when you try to reinstall the cover. BTW, we've had this grinder/brewer for many years and thoroughly enjoy it - except for when the tracks gunk up & the basket spits out in the middle of brewing.....
