I have "E" and "5" flashing (back and forth between them). I've lost manual, so I'm not sure what they mean. I'm pretty sure the "E" is simply for "Empty" since the "Black Ink" and "Color Ink" cartridge lights flash with it--I just want to make sure.

Re: Blinking "E" and "5"
Hi barneyfan -
You're absolutely right - E5 means that the ink is empty (or that the ink can't be loaded for some other reason, such as an incompatible cartridge or improper installation)
For your reference, here is the complete list of error codes for the MP150 with brief descriptions:
E2 No paper (ASF) E3 Paper jam E4 No ink E5 The ink cartridges are not installed or a non-supported ink cartridge is installed, or the ink cartridges are not installed properly E8 Waste ink absorber full, or platen waste ink absorber full E9 The connected digital camera / video camera does not support Camera-Direct Printing E14 The Ink cartridges whose destination are wrong E15 Ink cartridge is not installed E16 - Ink remaining is unknown E16 -E19 Failed to scan head alignment sheet E22 Carriage error E23 Paper feed error E24 Purge unit error E25 ASF(cam) sensor error E26 Internal temperature rise error E27 Waste ink absorber full or platen waste ink absorber full E28 Ink cartridge temperature rise error - E29 EEPROM error E33 Paper feed position error E35 15 USB Host VBUD overcurrent error E37 17 Abnormal motor driver error E40 20 Other hardware error E42 22 Scanner error
I hope this helps - please let me know if I can be of any further assistance.

The check / service engine light means there is a problem with the performance the engine computer has detected. The flashing light means the problem is serious.
You need to have the engine computer checked for trouble codes to proceed.
Why would you want to try to repair a working green LED?
But you need a manual, to check what the blinking light means. See how it flashes, because the board is trying to tell you what is wrong with these flashes. Like perhaps bad voltage, or bad RAM or ROM? or lost all settings.
there is a pin in the hot shoe that detects if an external flash is connected. check and make sure it isn't stuck down.
check to make sure the flash comes all the way up. sometimes spillage can cause the flash to not go up all the way or not to come up at all. you would have to disassemble the flash unit and clean the pivots and lubricate them with grease
If the flash comes all the way up but the camera is still 'clicking' - the lock is still moving back and forth to free the flash, then the problem is either in the flash-up switch, located on the flex on the bottom side of the top cover, is not operating properly. you would need to remove the top cover (first removing all the other covers) and repair the switch. if that switch is OK, then there may be a circuit problem. don't forget to discharge the flash capacitor - 300 volts - ouch!!!
if the flash comes up but the flash symbol keeps blinking and the flash never charges, or the symbol comes on for full flash, but when you fire it the flash doesn't fire and the symbol starts blinking again, you are probably looking at a dead flash board
I'm not a karcher dealer, but I'll comment. I'm assuming you've misplaced your owner's manual -- so the only way you'll know for sure is to contact karcher.com..... or a dealer.
That said, I'm pretty sure your blinking light is just bells and whistles kind of stuff. It most likely is a reminder that its time to change the diesel filter. Which means it has some "re-set" procedure. I just wouldn't worry about it. Don
Unfortunately that is 2 different errors... One being easily fixed. The 5 blinking power LED means its time to replace the Lamp, thats the easiest one to fix.
The blinking ready light means a "Fan 3 error". There is no reference on what that could be. It could be as simple as cleaning the air filter, or as complicated as replacing one of the fan units. You will need to contact Vivitek to know for sure:
Attached you will find a chart for diagnosing the Power and Blinking Ready Lights:
It is pretty easy, but I wanted my instructions to be detailed, so don't panic.
Press and hold the power button for 5 to 10 seconds until it flashes back and forth between red and blue. Then go to the settings or tools section (depending on your phone) in your phone and select bluetooth and activatre bluetooth. After that select "search" to find your bluetooth headset. When you see Motorola S9 press select it and press "pair". Your phone migh task you to enter a code which will be "0000". That's all.
Press back and forth between the "sani rinse" button and the "heated dry" button several times. This should put it into a "test mode" where all of the buttons light up and the dishwasher does a self-test. Wait about 5 minutes until you're sure the test is complete, and the dishwasher will operate normally. If those 2 buttons don't work, try going back and forth between the "sani rinse" button and the "hi temp wash" button.
