Go into the control panel and go into printer and faxes. Once there right click on the printer and click properties then click on the ports tab and make sure that your printer is going through the correct port.

Don't waste time on software, the problem is the router not being able to calculate and give out the proper IP for the wireless card mounted on the third laptop.

You can try changing MAC address on laptop card (see Changing MAC addresses )

If that does not work try using a Wireless USB Adapter and disabling original wireless card on laptop, you will see that it works.

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

Initially, pls try on the Dell Inspiron 1300:

  • Start, Control Panel, Folder Options, View tab, check "Automatically search for network folders and printers";
  • Start, Control Panel, Network Connections, right click Wireless Network Connection, click on properties, in General tab, Configure button, Advanced tab, see if there is an option to maintain network connections; in Power Management Tab, un-check "Allow the computer to turn off this device...".
Good luck and Thank you for using FixYa. Happy Holidays.

When checking device manager, usb controllers, you probably should see some kind of entry for usb print support or some such wording, also you might wnat to check the entries that you find in the usb section, just to make sure there are no yellow exclam marks and that all appears to be ,according to the system, functioning properly.
Sometimes, just unplugging the printer from the wall socket does magic. If you have another usb socket that you could use ,try that.

As perhaps a last resort,uninstall/re-install the printer and see if XP will plug/play it back into the world of the living.Do you have any other usb devices that appear to be functioning properly?
In addition to this, you might want to check the lexmark site for a more current driver.

How high are the permissions on the account that is giving you problems? Add that account to the Administrator group and see if you have the same error. Does it happen with every print job or one specific one?

Try to
download the CleanupUtility from ftp://ftp.lexmark.com/driver/inkjet_drivers/Cleanup/

First disconnect USB from PC/printer then run Cleanup.EXE to clean thedrivvers. It will reboot automatically when you click OK. Thenconnectthe PC to printer and reinstall. Thanks all

Try to run malware software on that laptop. go to www.malwarebytes.com then download and install the free edition. Run a FULL SCAN then DELETE any malware found. That should fix the problem

The simple solution is that u just delete the drivers loaded of your printer from the third pc which is printing only 1 printout.and the reconnect all the drivers again .as when u will do this all the necessary settings to print a proper documents will get get loaded automatically and then the third pc will also print like other two pc are printing.problem solved.

Also why don't you try disabling the printer connection from the laptop and then enable it back and see if that gives you a better connection after disabling the firewall. check for any pending documents and cancell them all.. maybe even wanna think about unintslling the printer from this laptop and the install it back as a last resort...good luck !!!

You need to go under the user account and disable any parental controls. Then go under printer preferences and make that printer the default, as well as looking over printing options, such as paper tray, paper layout etc.

After you make all those corrections, make sure you power down your computer/laptop, and restart for all settings to take place.

Try first to disable the firewall of this computer because since its a network printer firewall may be filtering the connection, after disabling the firewall power cycle the printer and try to print again..

I can not access internet on my computer whilst i am using my NETGEAR Wireless-G Router WGR614 v9 but it works on my psp

Are you connecting wired or wirelessly to the router?
If wired make sure the cables are properly connected and lights are lit on the router,
If wirelesly, make sure to enter the correct wireless settings on your laptop like ssid, channel and wireless security.

I am trying to install a Lexmark 4300 on a Dell computer with Vista on it

This was posted earlier by an anonymous Fixya guest:

I HAVE FOUND A SOLUTION TO NOT BEING ABLE TO SCAN WITH ALL IN ONE CENTRE with VISTA!!!!!!!!!!!

hi guys, i have had the same problem, i have a p4350 all in one printer and when i updated to Vista i couldnt get my install cd to work...i downloaded the install file from lexmark website...cjr4300eng.exe and all worked except OCR and FAX...i emialed lexmark and they couldnt help.....but i tricked my computer and now everything works just fine.....this what you have to do......
Step 1 - uninstall all previous lexmark software
Step 2 - download the cjr4300eng.exe file from
http://downloads.lexmark.com/cgi-perl/downloads.cgi?ccs=229:1:0:479:0:0&searchLang=en&os_group=Windows%20Vista&target=
Step 3 - extract the file to c:\drivers\printer\4300 but do install the software, just cancel
Step 4 - once you've extracted, copy the OCR and FAX folders from the original INSTALL CD to the same directory c:\drivers\printer\4300 along with all files from the ROOT directory (autorun.inf, cdicon.ico, hidclass.sys etc) on the CD EXCEPT "setup.exe"
Step 5 - open setup.exe and wait for install, it should notify you twice of installation so be patient.....and WOLA you're done
Hope this helps guys....
