Question about LG 42LP1D 42 in. LCD HDTV
I recently purchased a 42" LCD LG TV and some of the channels come in with picture being zoomed in too far. I cannot see the score of the games that is displayed in the corners or any information that would normally be posted at the bottom of the screen. I have tried all zoom options on my remote and display options on my cable remote. I have had the TV for about a month and it did not do this for the first week but now some stations only come in with this "over-zoomed" view and it cannot be reveresed or adjusted. What am I forgetting to do or check? Thanks.
SOURCE: How do I get my tv to 1080p?
Unless you mistyped your model number, your TV has a resolution of 1366 by 768p. This limits you to 720p but the TV will interpret up to a 1080i signal. On the zoom, you need to look at the menu and the remote for the aspect ratio. On the remote, just press the Ratio button multiple times until you get the right one (4:3, 16:9, Zoom1, Zoom2). It's also in the Options Menu.
I hope this helps.

It sounds like it is in ZOOM mode, look for 'ZOOM', 'ASPECT'. PICTURE MODE' on the remote control.

SOURCE: my tv picture is zoomed
Hi, Look in menu settings for zoomiong features and zoom out. Play with remote and see if you can find it and change the settings. You maybe able to make it look better.. If you have 12 year old kid they can help you do some things. My kids do. Good luck.
