Question about GE Monogram® ZET1038 Single Oven
My GE Monogram ZET1038 Oven door does not close all of the way. It closes about 95%, but does not appear to have the spring to pull the door all the way closed. The oven still works however.
The problem will be caused the hinge spring being broken or weak.
The only solution is to replace both oven door hinges to ensure a satisfactory repair.
Trust this helps with your problem.

When the door came open you may have bent the hinges. Open the door fully and it should stop at 90 degrees. If lower than that, then the hinges are bent and will need replaced. Also you may look at the install directions and see if your model shows removing the door. If it is removable for install, you can try removing and reinstalling the door. It is possible with removable doors for them to slide up during install and then they are out of alignment for closing. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: oven door does not close
I had the same problem. The first time the Tech. came out, put a new hinge in and it held until Nov. 07. ( 8 months ). Then the left hinge brakes when I opend the door and it crashes to the floor. Bending the right hinge and the metal doorliner. Jan.7,08 everything was fixed. On 1/11 after no more then 10 openings & closings the hinge broke again. This time I heard the crack of the braking metal after opening the door 2 inches. It now sits in my kitchen propped-up with a stick, waiting for the repairman. I am sorry I have no solution , but there must be a problem with the hinges. I forgot to tell you that it started with a door that did not close, like yours.
