Question about LG WM1814CW Front Load Washer

5 Answers

NO POWER machine stopped in middle of load, didn't go into rinse cycle or spin. There is no power showing on the contol panel. When we took off the top and the power button is pushed outside you can see a red light in the inside, but the machine will not turn on. Anyone, know what the problem could be?? Thanks, for any advise.

My control panel need to be replaced. The tech came out the day after I called, but then they had to order the part. The part was delivered here 5 days ago and it will take them another 4 days before they come out to put it on. This will be a total of 2 weeks without a washer!

I had the same problem.the computer board and drum motor both had to be replaced. lG is not recognizing this as a recall.my opinion the washer is junk. your clothes seem like they don't get wet enough to clean. the inside smells of mildew.the dryer is great, hopefully the newer washer models are better.

I have a washer that did the same thing. I unplugged the washer for 24 hours and it seemed to reset the machine and is now operating fine again. It's worth a try.

You have a problem with the control board.  I recommend trying a different plug outlet 1st.  If the problem goes away, you have a problem outlet or breaker switch.  If the problem persists, you have a control board and display board problem and may need to be replaced.

Machine will not spin or drain water.

I have a problem with my MW512AU. Sometimes it drains after wash cycle, but sometimes it sticks when it goes to spin, doesn't get up to speed, water comes on for about 10 seconds and shuts off, and it tries to spin again. If I hit the wash progress switch it goes directly to final spin and works ok. I then have to run a 2nd wash cycle to rinse the clothes. I also noticed a buzzing sound when I turn on the power point, which lasts about 3 seconds before stopping. It will come back on every 3-4 minutes for 30 seconds. This is with the machine power switch off. It powers on normally.

LG tromm washer stuck in rinse cycle

  • I had the same issue of being stuck in rinse and timer stuck at 20 min. Mine was a water flow problem, at the back of the washer where you hook up the water there is a small in line screen to stop debris from water supply. I removed them, they were clogged, cleaned them up, works great!!!

Type 111 filled with water and stopped

with the machine off, turn the cycle dial around 3x very harshly, then try it again. If it works normally now, you'll need a new cycle switch soon!

Washing Machine is not draining in rinse cycle to go to spin cycl

you both seem to have bad lid switches. A bad lid switch will prevent draining and spinning.

Kenmore front-load washer stops at rinse cycle

When the washer initially fills for the wash, is it only hot water entering the drum? Try switching the water temperature between hot and cold as it fills. If any of them show little or no water getting through, it sounds too easy but check to make sure water supply taps are on, and that the cold/hot fill hoses aren't reversed. Remove the fill hoses and check any of the screen filters for blockage (in the hoses and in the inlet water valve). When the machine stops and waits to fill but all you hear is a hum, it sounds like there is power going to the valve but water is not able to get through it.
Good luck!

Frigidaire washer machine stop in the middle of the cycle

Replace your lid switch.
